Fern2340 (Linda) will be staying overnight here at the airport hotel on June 21st. Do any Vancouverites want to get tother in Richmond and meet her? I spoke to Jean and she suggested the Keg, which is close to Richmond. Or she could be chauffeured into town.

In any case, I'll bring dessert as usual!

Yup, there is a Keg right near the airport so that would be handy. Any other ideas out there?

After a long absence on the forum I am back. Life can just suck you into a black hole sometimes! I don't think I could make it to a dinner on the 21st....too many kids commitments and hubby away on business.

But.....there is some good noshing in Steveston. Go to www.tapenade.ca and you can check out the tapas menu - their food is really great. They have an outdoor eating area with umbrellas and it is just across the street from the Steveston boardwalk so you could go for an after dinner stroll and see the sunset...

I'll stay involved in this thread in case something happens and I could make it...

I just saw this thread now!! How exciting that I may get to meet some of you! I am actually staying at a hotel NEAR the airport called the Travelodge. The info is:

It's cheap and has Complimentary Airport shuttle service!! Exactly what a gal like me needs...I tend to get lost pretty easily. On that note, if anyone will be around during the day on the 21st, I am going to try and sightsee a bit. I will be taking the earliest ferry in from Victoria that morning. (hoping to get an early check-in since check-in isn't until 3 pm!)

Anyway, I look forward to meeting some of you!

Anyway, I think the Keg is a good idea (if it's still on the table) - their steaks are incredible!

Tapenade Bistro's menu looks good. I'd prefer this place to the Keg.
