Default so confused about digestive enzymes!

i'm looking for a good digestive enzyme for when i start my anti-candida diet.

i've heard good things about the garden of life ones (omegazyme) BUT when i look at the label i saw "fermented molasses"... and on another bottle there was fermented ginger and tumeric (or something like that).

so my question is... should i avoid these enzymes because of the fermented ingredients??

if so... can you recommend a good one that has worked for you?

A good place to look for information on enzymes in food is the Weston A Price website. I don't know personally if you should avoid fermented foods if you're trying to beat candida, but probiotic yoghurt (which has lots of natural enzymes and will bring your intestinal flora back into a balanced state), as well as olive oil, apple cider vinegar, avocadoes and bananas all have natural enzymes, too.

I read about supplements which said they contained apple cider vinegar not having any ACV in them at all! Natural sources will definitely contain good enzymes, so I would go for those.

I would suggest getting some apple cider vinegar and using it three times a day dilute in about a cup of water....1 tablespoon. I usually take this 30 minutes before each meal.

By the way, if something is fermented, it actually does have lots of enzymes. The problem with candida is that you've got too many "bad" bacteria in your system and you need to get the good ones to get the upper hand. Fermentation and enzymes go hand in hand.

So, to answer your question properly (I obviously didn't read it properly before), you DON'T need to avoid fermented products; on the contrary, they could be what will do the trick!
