Sweet trick
Sometimes right after you eat you get this craving for something sweet. That's probably why we got so stuck on desserts. Often its just a desire to get rid of an aftertaste left over from your meal, because you're not still hungry, you just crave something sweet. One trick I use is to drink a full glass of water and the take one of those zero carb hard candies. Suck on it, don't chew, and by the time it's done very often that craving is gone.
I never was much on hard candies before I started dieting, but this trick has been really helpful. Now I always keep a stock of them.
