Brendan has been doing more podcast interviews, can search your podcast store by his name, or he posted this good one today:

Thanks again for the plug, Janet. You're clearly better at this whole marketing business than me. I hope people are finding the book to be of value.

With the world slowly, tentatively opening itself up again for travel, I hope to be getting out and about again soon for the first time in a while, at least just a little bit. I'll be making an appearance at PreKure's next graduation event in Auckland at the end of this month, and later in the year there's a distinct possibility that I'll be in attendance at the 2022 edition of Low Carb Gold Coast, back to where I gave my first talk three years earlier.

With any luck, there might even be a few physical copies of the book for sale at each of these events as well!

Grav/Brendan,

I’m still marketing your LC success and advice…books, podcast today.
Opened my Podcasts App this morning and there is the Live Q & A with Susan Birch, The Health Detective, 1 hr, 12 minutes.

Not yet posted on her blog, https://susanbirch.co.nz/ but good description in the podcast store. Think this is the original interview, but many here may not have heard it before

For Brendan, the idea that he could ever lose any weight at all, let alone keep it off afterward was, for so long, nothing more in his mind, than an impossible dream.~
And yet, in under two years, that dream eventually, finally, become reality, and in the end, all it took was for him to have found advice that actually tangibly worked. Having since lost more than 50 kilograms, he's remained weight stable now for five years and counting, and during that time he's had plenty of opportunity to reflect and even wrote a book on his experiences.
It was a great opportunity to ask those important questions and get the straight answers from someone who has lived and breathed weight loss - along with all the struggles and strains.

Cheers

Brendan is Back!

Stumbled on another great interview with Grav/Brendan.
Dropped today into my new line-up of Australian/New Zealand podcasts is Emma Martin - The Lazy, Keto Mom

Surprise, her interview is with someone I "know' from this forum, have met IRL, and know is very successful with a Low Carb Diet...Long Term. 8 years, 120 pounds gone, and still going strong.
Anyone stuck on Low Carb would do well to listen to this fun interview with Brendan.

Brendan posted a few hours ago, on October 17th, "On this day eight years ago, my #lowcarb journey began.
Today may not be my birthday, but I do consider it my rebirth-day."

In the book, he explains how he slowly transitioned to low carb "My very first low-carb meal was a couple of bunless burgers" No cleaning out the cupboards of pasta and bread, but did not buy any new when it was gone. No 3 day fasts to hurry the process. No medications or excessive exercise. Just simple low carb food to lose 120 pounds in 15 months! See Grav's success story here.

That podcast had actually been recorded a few months ago, but was coincidentally released on the same day that Emma and I actually met face to face for the first time, at Low Carb Sydney last weekend. We took a couple of photos and swapped books with each other as well. Was a pretty good weekend, I should probably do a fuller write-up in my journal.

Thanks for keeping the thread alive in the meantime, Janet.

Loved all your tips on SIMPLICITY! Standard days of the week meal plans, all Protein based with some veggies, and Bob's your Uncle (a favorite saying )

I would like to hear more about Low Carb Sydney, it usually has a good line up of speakers.

The strength of the Down Under health coalition is impressive! Very active and enjoyable, but not afraid of presenting the science, either.
