Talking Crystal Lite with Splenda

I've just noticed that Crystal Lite now has some of it's flavours sweetened with Splenda (and acesulfame-potassium) instead of aspartame! Woot!!

I LOVE the "Acai, White Peach, Papaya" flavour (2g carb per 500ml), as well as the lemonade.

Happy happy happy! (I really don't like aspartame.)

Good news zicki! I don't like aspartame either - I much prefer ace-K ... will have to look for that on my next shopping day!

The store-brand of "Tangerine Grapefruit" (not Pink Grapefruit, I realize) at both Safeway and IGA are Splenda-sweetened, in case that helps..

I'm planning on writing to Crystal Lite to support their use of Splenda and encourage them to move the rest of their flavours over to it instead of aspartame.

Is it Crystal Lite or a different brand? I haven't noticed that one yet -- thanks for the tip, I'll check it out!

yes, Crystal lite. Package has a rather discreet splenda icon at top left.

And today I found Splenda-sweeted Dragon Fruit Mango white tea. Very oriental tasting! Love it.

Some of the Great Value (walmart) products and the Nestea products have had Splenda for a long time. Worth checking out.

The generic brand "Compliments" at Marketplace IGA stores in Vancouver are Splenda-sweetened, and I quite like the taste of the tangerine flavour, but they only offer two flavours -- that one and a raspberry one.

Has anyone heard anything of the "True-via" type pops that Jimmy Moore mentions on his (USA) podcast -- pop sweetened with stevia?

I thought I'd heard a radio ad for something like that, but I'm not sure.
