I did it, I lasted 20 minutes and 18 seconds on the Nordic Track! I've got sweat just rolling off me, and my legs feel like rubber bands. I'm still not using the cables for the arms, I am trying to get used to the leg motion and balance, besides, I probably wouldn't survive the whole shebang!

Will post later with weight training and crunches.

Monday 3-31-03 Cont.

I got back on the Nordic Track for 10 minutes at about 6:30. I worked up a good sweat and sped up my heart rate.

I've been doing some reading, many of you are just a wealth of information, and I will wait a day before doing any weights.

Tuesday, cont.

I walked for 20 minutes at a brisk pace on the treadmill. I had to get off for just a minute, to use the bathroom, and the numbers cleared so I don't know what the distance was exactly. I think that it was real close to a mile.

Cardio only today. Got behind on my "chores", so I only had time for 1 mile on the treadmill. It took me 20.1 minutes, and it seemed like I was flying. I wonder how in the world humans run a mile in less than 4 minutes? Guess I don't have to worry about any Olympic recruiters bothering me.

Tomorrow I will get back to my weight training.

So far I haven't done an Official workout, but I spent an hour in my flower bed, bending, pulling, hoeing, raking, and digging. Plan to do at least a mile before bed.

Default Cardio Day

I walked/ran a mile on the treadmill. The first time I have run in years other than to an emergency at work. Tried the interval training I saw in someone's log and it was great! Legs like rubber, sweat rolling off. I can't believe I am actually exercising and enjoying it. Why did I wait so long to start this? I feel great, I am getting up earlier and feeling rested. Before I was just as tired when I woke up as when I went to bed.

Default Saturday, April 5

I bought a set of 4 Firm tapes and attempted to keep up with the Standing Legs workout. I lasted about 20 minutes, and I didn't get in all of the reps that the experts did! Needless to say, my legs are jelly. I rested a bit and then got on the treadmill for about 10 minutes to warm back up. Did some of my usual exercises, upped the weight on the tricep extension and the straight arm side lift. Everything listed is 10 reps, and 5 sets except the twisted crunches and leg lifts, I only lasted 3 sets .

Tricep Extension 20 lbs
Bicep Curls 30 lbs (man did that burn today)
Straight side lift 20 lbs
Side lift 20 lbs
Twisted Crunches
Six inch leg lifts

Cardio today!

I walked for 20 minutes on the treadmill set at 3 - 3.5 mph. Brisk for me! Slowed down to 2 mph and put the incline on 10 and walked for 10 minutes for a total of 30 minutes.

Default hiya!

Hey there Kim

I see youre goin strong!
I want to buy the firm tapes also.. they come with the fanny lifter step also.. did yours? I want to do the firm b/c I know people who have had amazing results..but I understand its a hard work out.
Let me know what ya think of it. I am seriously thinking of ordering them. I used to do buns and body of steel back in the day so I'm hoping if I get back in a lil better shape I can do these tapes!
Keep workin those muscles!
I've not done ANY walking for awhile.. just a bit under the weather.

Glad to see youre goin strong! Keep up the great work! You inspire us
