Aww sure wish you could make it but I understand, traveling with a new born even in the car for a few hours is not fun.

Haven't seen Ben and Jerry's yet folks. I look every weekend. I may even put a request for it.

Cheers!

I do know where there is a Blockbuster by Soham where we use to live. Just 7 minutes from here. I'll have to go check.

Thanks!

Re the B&Js - as it's actually the low carb version (it's called Carb Karma) that we're after here, I doubt very much that they will sell it in Blockbusters, or anywhere else in the UK for that matter. As far as I know, it's not available anywhere in the UK yet, which is why I wondered if you'd be able to get it on the base, Lily.

However, don't worry if you can't get it - any brand of low carb ice cream will do !!!

BUT, just in case it you are able to get it at some point, the low carb flavours that are available are chocolate, Half Baked and Vanilla Swiss Almond. I have emailed B&Js in the UK to ask if there were any plans to bring the LC range to the UK. However, they replied that they weren't planning to at the moment. Perhaps though if we all keep emailing them to request it, then they might change their minds

Carb Karma is the name ok, I will look for that. Cause I've been looking for Ben and Jerry's.

But if not like you said, we do have Carb Smart and they are good. YUMMY!

Can't wait till November.

Cheers!

I called our commisary and they said they carry B&J's. WOO HOO!

I'm gonna go tomorrow and see for myself and if they have it I'm gonna get some and taste it.

If they indeed have it I'll stock up 2-3 weeks ahead of the meet so I'm sure to have some for when you all come over.

How exciting!

Got this email back from the Ben and Jerry's people:

Quote:
Hi there,

Thanks for your e-mail and your interest in Ben & Jerry's ice cream.

Ben & Jerry's is available in all major supermarket in the UK and in many
other smaller independent retailers. For more information on where to buy,
take a look at our website on www.benjerry.co.uk <http://www.benjerry.co.uk>
Ben & Jerry's is also available in some NAAFI shops, maybe you can have a
word with the manager and ask him/her to look into getting some in for you.

Best wishes,

Lisa Dale

Some of our military friends will be joining us for the meet. This house is gonna be packed. I can't wait it'll be lots of fun.

I'm sure you will all enjoy meeting them, they are a bunch of great guys.

If anyone else wants to join in, let me know and those already coming be sure to let me know if you are bringing your spouses and children. Thanks!

Cheers!
