Lauren from Southend, Essex here.

(Yes yes, an Essex girl.. without all the stereotypes! Hehe)

My second time round. Prepared me a LC chocolate cheesecake tonight incase I get those dreaded monthly cravings that always swing round. Clean induction starting tomorrow, but thought atleast if I'm tempted it'll still be low carb!

Hi amanda, Linseed works for me. i sprinkle it on my salads and it gives it a nice crunch too. you can buy it in tesco and waitrose for around 2.00.

From what another member posted on the board recently, eating whole seeds is not a good idea if you allow any to stick in your teeth/gums as you can get problems. Also grinding them will allow your body to make use of the good things in them, un-ground seeds will just pass through you undigested.

Has anyone found a place to buy Walden Farms Pancake syrup ever since Low carb megastore stopped selling it?

I used to love that stuff -- and the chocolate one! Ever since I've gone back on plan, I can't find any UK sites that sell it.

Hey again y'all . Been on holiday to Paris - I mostly ate cheese, but a bit of cake as it was my birthday and the waitress 'suggested' I had to order choc cake. Turns out the other half had arranged for candkes to be put on the cake and all the waiters to sing to me!

Ah well, back on the diet again and happy to be.

Another 'English' question for you guys - what is 'heavy cream'? Double, single, whipping? Eh? Does it even matter? I am looking to get creative with cream. I never fancied it before, but need something for sweet cravings after my b'day treat. I can NOT face another mock danish....

I think double cream is the equivalent of heavy cream - maybe single cream is called light cream
