Can you recommend a clothing website that would deliver to the UK?
Hi all,
This is not directly related to LC but I have lost some weight and my clothes no longer look any good. I am still big so the local 'fat' shops aren't particularly useful. Been looking online but am a bit stuck.
Looking for stuff not too expensive because I am hoping that it will all be too big for me soon....
Does anyone have a website that they can recommend?
I am currently a UK size 30 ish (which fits bust 55in, waist 48in, hips 56 in).
Thanks so much
Regards
Joycie
Hello... have you looked at Evans? They have a website and are also a high street store. They stock sizes 14-32 and have some quite nice clothes and bits. I'm in the UK too btw!
Thanks, all. This give me somewhere to start. I see several hours of online browsing ahead of me.
I will report back.
Sondora88 - welcome to the forum. Thanks for dipping your toe in for me. I do buy things from Evans but I must say that their website is not inspiring. The photos of the clothes look just awful on the horrid grey plastic mannekin (sp?) and I can't see a single item that I want to own!
Elizellen - haven't tried Marshall Ward.... will look this afternoon.
ElizaBD - will look at Simply Be again - I went off them and I can't remember why!
msmum1977 - did try googling and was rather baffled by the choice. I guess I was kind of hoping that I might reap the benefit of someone else's treasure of a website!

Hiya,
Just popping up to say I love ordering online from Evans (although I wish they'd stop doing so many tops/dresses with high-up capped sleeves!). The clothes do look a bit dull on the site, but their sizing is quite reliable and their returns are excellent! So I generally order a dozen items online, try them on in the quiet of my own home, then return anything I don't want. Many's the time I've walked into my local Evans and asked for refunds on EVERYTHING I ordered online and they don't blink an eyelid! Although admittedly I do make the effort to take in the returns at their quiet times (09:00 on a Tuesday morning and times like that).
I recently discovered them on Ideal World (shopping channel). I was going to buy from them on their website, but checked for a local store and they have one in the next town so I visited the shop instead. I think they have some fashionable stuff for larger ladies, I am about a size 22-24 and find it really hard to buy clothes at the moment.

Have bought some nice tops from Yours, but looked online at their current stock, there are an awful lot of their tops which are asymmetrical at the bottom and are longer over the side of the hips. They make the slim models look larger - I'm really bottom heavy, would make me look even more humongous than I already am!!
The asymmetric hemline is all the rage. Personally I think they are very slimming if you are bottom heavy. I have the opposite problem! I am 4 sizes bigger up top and asymmetric tops hang off my boobs and make me look HUGE!
These tops are everywhere at the moment, best bet is to go to a store and try one on, if you like it jump back on to yoursclothing website and order a few !!!
I have such traumas buying clothes to fit (14 bottom half and 22-24 top!) Thats why I end up with so many pairs of shoes! lol (Well a girls gotta buy something!)
Happy shopping XX
