Default Fifty pounds in eight months!

I've hit a huge milestone -- half a century of weight loss! My favorite thing about these last eight months is that my weight CAN be totally controlled and lowered through diet alone. I personally have not exercised almost at all in these eight months beyond my regular daily duties (my job is one where I stand and walk all day). I am extremely on top of the carb intake though every single day!!

I wish I had actually done some measurements when I started (and ongoing), but I never have. I'll just have to let the clothes sizes tell the tale:

BEFORE -- size 20 plus size jeans / 1x shirts
NOW -- size 14 (starting to lean towards a size down to a 12!) / L regular shirts (leaning towards medium maybe).

Happy! Only about 33/34 lb to "goal".

Well done, LosingMe! Anecdote: I was headed to a size 20 earlier this year. A couple of days ago I picked up a pair of size 16W petite, pants - didn't try them on. I wasted my money, they are too big!!! I'm thrilled!!!

I just went through and boxed up most of my previous clothes - I probably cut my regular usage items in half lol. I do sometimes wear my 16s even though they're too big because I can't afford to buy any more 14s right now lol. They just sag a bit!

Awesome job, a brisk pace for losing without exercise!

Ps I am a big fan of thrift stores in our area, women's pants are always the largest section and in the best, sometimes unworn, condition. Even now when not changing sizes, I find top designer brand pants that fit perfectly.

Yes, now that I am in more common sizes I might find something I like more easily -- I could never find anything in my size when I was in plus sizes.

I am close to dropping down another size (fiance was telling me that the 14s are starting to droop earlier tonight as a matter of fact)...so I might go looking soon one day before work on the weekends.
