For Atkins Choc Chip Granola Bar 200 cals, 17g Protein, 9g Total lipid (fat), 3 net carbs, 5g Fiber, Sugar Alcohol 2g, Glycerin 7g - by entering in the difference between the net and the total carbs as sugar alcohols
(what do I put in the 'Carbohydrates, by difference' area?) - I subtracted the net carbs [3] from the total carbs [17] and put that in the PECC area, as instructed. What about the fiber subtracting from the carbs?
What a nightmare! Here is what your program tells me:
The nutritional date you have entered are incorrect. Please make sure to enter valid data.
You have entered 200 calories, but the data entered totals to 161 calories. The formula to calculate calories is as follows:
Calories = Carbs x 4 + Protein x 4 + Fat x 9 + Alcohol x 6.93
The data you entered comes to:
Calories = 161 = 3 * 4 + 17 * 4 + 9 * 9 + 0 * 6.93 = 161
Possible reasons are:
1. You did not enter the label data accurately, re-check to ensure accuracy
2. The label may have listed carbs by weight (including fiber) and not by difference. In this case, subtract the fiber from the carb count
3. The label is incorrect, or contains hidden carbs.
While I appreciate the MYPLAN program, entering customized food really is difficult.
