Default Starbucks no Carb Suger Free Syurps

I always avoid Suger Free Syurps etc, however I noticed while in Starbucks that they have 3 or 4 Sugar Free No Carb Flavors. "includes WATER, NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS, MALTODEXTRIN, CELLULOSE GUM (E466), CITRIC ACID (E330), SUCRALOSE (E955), PRESERVATIVE: SODIUM BENZOATE (E211), COLOR: CARAMEL (E150d)."

Anything to look for, I did add a Flavor and it was very good, however I am wondering if Sucralose is an issue and should be avoided

For most people, it's not a problem. I prefer the liquid sweeteners over the powdered ones.

Maltodextrin might be technically a starch, but it breaks down to glucose--whether that matters depends on how much.

Sucralose is Splenda; my sugar free sweetener of choice.

These are prob alright - just keep an eye on how they affect you. Of note to anyone else reading the thread, some sugar-free sweetners are loaded with carbs - proceed with caution

Dont quote me but I think once i looked up the nutrition data for McD iced coffee with cream and sugar free flavor and it had 15-20 carbs (for a large) - thats too much for me to waste on a drink!

McD's doesn't use real cream. The carbs in the sugar free iced coffee come from the non-dairy creamer they use.

Nope - at least not according to their nutritional customizable meal builder

Large iced coffee with light cream = 4gm carbs
Large iced coffee with light cream and sugar free vanilla = 18gm carbs

Ill find the link I used and post

here you go - this is actually a pretty nice tool if you're looking to see how you can adapt a quick and easy meal without doing too much damage. I dont eat at mcds very often but with two little boys its been known to happen, and im a sucker for their coffee and iced coffee

That's interesting. I worked there about 2 years ago, I don't remember their SF syrups having anything in them to add carbs. And the one I worked at used non-dairy creamer with plenty of carbs in it. I wonder if they changed the ingredients?
