Marty Kendall has written three new "short Guides" posted in his thread in Semi-LC, but adding this one here:

Menopausal Weight Loss: Quickstart Guide
Good news!~ We have stumbled upon the solution for those battling the ominous weight gain that often occurs after menopause! We initially designed our tools and systems to help people optimise their blood glucose and body composition.~ But, to our surprise, we attracted a solid following of middle-aged women who’d tried so many other approaches like fasting, keto, calorie counting and carnivore.…

Not to worry, once you read the short guide info, there are SIX long articles about the data and studies on the topic linked at the end

Sorry, thank you for fixing. The hazard of cut and paste on an iPad without an accessory keyboard.

True, the new success stories are so exciting and dramatic that my losing 38 pounds in 15 months is a slow walk in the park. I told Marty my update is just too boring by comparison.

Four other truly inspiring success stories! Muffy overcame multiple health challenges, operations, hormonal treatments for cancer, to reveal the most amazing before/after photos.

Two more success stories with menopausal women have been added to the Optimising Nutrition blog.

From Hopelessness to Health – How Monica Transformed Her Life Beyond the Scale!

https://optimisingnutrition.com/monicas-story/

Monica's Big Why:

Quote:
The Why Behind My Transformation

I have been food-conscious since my youngest child began having severe food allergies when he was just a baby. He was regularly hospitalised for it. Some major life events and a lot of stress pushed me to gain excess weight over the years and develop several chronic diseases; severe endometriosis, IBS, Asthma, RLS resulting in a sleep disorder, CFS, and Fibromyalgia. Finally, in 2017 I was diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury and a brain disease and lost my job of 20 years. On top of that came a metabolic dysfunction.

A couple of months before I started my first DDF, I tore my meniscus, and just before Christmas, I was in a car accident. Both took away my mobility for several months resulting in even more weight gain.

I became fed up with being out of shape, overweight, gaining so much body fat, and feeling unhappy with my body. My blood tests indicated I was approaching prediabetes. My doctor discussed putting me on medications to manage my blood glucose, which I detest.

I felt hopeless.

Monica posts beautiful photos of her meals, and in a few short months has found nutrient dense, high satiety meals, she shares in this post, leading to some stunning health improvements.

Cynthia Thurlow, who gave two TedX talks on Fasting is interviewed by Ben Azadi. Very detailed outline of topics covered, a good chunk of it on stressors for menopausal women, why she does NOT support OMAD fasting, etc. It starts with a section on the importance of protein, again suggesting as so many protein experts now do… 1 g of Protein per pound of ideal body weight. Absolute minimum for everybody is 100 g P per day.

Her view on fasting for women, particularly older women, are to do shorter fasts, start with 12 hours, up to 16 or 18 hours fasts, after other stressors like sleep are corrected. The focus should be on Maintaining Muscle Mass and longer fasts risk losing muscle, sarcopenia, stress of constant calorie restriction leading to an inability to lose weight.

(Time stamped outline though the whole interview is good)
