Hey everyone

Is there anyone else from Nebraska on this forum? i know there are several from Iowa. Just curious.

Yes i live in Nebraska,Iwas born and raised in Pennsylvania,
Moved here in1965 with my DH , who is a native Nebraskan.
I have bin on Atkins for about two months, i'v lost 9.5''
so far. However progress is slow.
I'm in this for the full duration. Atkins for life plan.

i am in it for the duration also. You name the diet and i bet i've tried it!! And suffered through the hunger of it. Years ago i did Weight Loss Clinic, which was 600 calories a DAY!! Absolutely NUTS and i can't believe i stayed with it for 26 weeks, plus costing me an arm and 2 legs.

i've lived in Lincoln since 1972 and was born and raised in a tiny little town north and west of here (Long Pine)

And slow weight loss is better than NO weight loss. And will stay off longer in the long run.

Glad to hear from you, I live in Hastings, Ne,not too far from you.
I also have bin there and done that. DIET CENTER Was my last
expensive diet. I had set my goal at 130# and naturally had
to pay and pay till i got it all off. I still remember the diet
counselor gitting mad ,when two weeks into the diet i had
eaten carrots. They didn't tell you Y, They just told you what
to eat. well , the last two months of the diet, I was existing on
about 400 calories a day ,just trying to git to goal.
Then when i was finally at goal, they just said to start eating
again. Of course I haden"t learned anything , so i just gained it
all back and then some.I'm guessing that it will take me a year
or moore to make it to my goal, this time i only set it at 150#,
I'l decide if i want to loose and moore at that time.

Yes, Hastings isn't too far. i'd ALSO been on Diet Center and LA Weight Loss. i had set my goal at 140 but have changed it down to 130. And 130 is still probably a little high, but, like you, i'll see when i get down there.
