I put many vegies in the freezer that I plan to make into a smoothie.

Yesterday's smoothie: kale, 1/2 cuke lunchbox type, 1/2 stalk celery, lemon crystal lite...... vegies have fewer carbs than fruits. So I didnt add the 1/4 apple. Fill with ice.

Too many carbs in fruits and root vegies, I would have a problem with that too.

Hi,
On galblader No stones. Just putting out 3%{So stopped working. what a surprise.
But doing well. 3 weeks.
It should not be to much of a eating learning thing, For 5 years been eating healthy, exersiceing and detoxing.
{Sauna2 steam room.I should do weights also.
I asked about me fasting and asked if that caused it. and he said No.
I also eat{good fats.limits.
I count cals also.
And on smoothies which I call blast . I use fiber and keep that in. instead of juiceing. Plus at times use protien prowder and chia seeds and so on.
Plus I do eat reg. foods. On bananas I freeze.
Do walk and keep that body moving. see what u can do for rest of this year. i hope by end of this year to be 10lbs lighter and at goal. Then next year see what else I can do to keep weight off andget better yet.
I also do soups and salalds. Those or my main stay it seems.
I wrote a book it seems.And u only asked couple things.ha

I also slip at times too. But I get right back on.
I have 10 lbs to reach goal. Through Dr.s said and every body I do not have to lose any more weight. But I have goal and 110 is it. Then will stop.
You do { I do }keep track of cals.
But we all know what to do and how. Just staying with it.
But smoothies helped me 5 years ago to get were I'm now.
Need to stay with at least one a day.
How are you doing? Do u have a surport at home/
I see you are doing good with weight loss
I also see u do If??{fasting?
Hope to talk again. wish others would join in.

I may have to bow out. I think the juicing is causing hunger at night! That is my biggest problem! (nighttime hunger)

Arielle, I am freezing my avocado because of you... and maybe many other fresh foods.

Change to using a blender--- keeps the fiber to slow digestion, and use fewer fruits which contribute more sugars.

I do vegie smoothies. And only enough that might be called a sm-med salad. The blender lets me use ice to bulk up the volume.

And I ddrink it along with my meal, not separately, again to mitigate the effect on BG.

Not the best blender I have ever had--often leaves chunks of ice unless lots of water.

Looking for more recipes that are mostly vegie based.

Doing smoothies every 2-3 days, as salads are easier. But as I use different vegies than my salad, makes for a wider selection of vegies.

I started out with a Nuturi bullet. In 2013 and after staying with it>I got the Vitamix.
Doing smoothies{As I sometimes call >Blast I lost my weight. Just kept going and now 5 years.
Plus started back today on walking>3 miles{After galblader out.
Was walking 8 miles and then just cut down to 4.5 to 5 miles
Then added jogging and was able t jog nonstop 4 miles.
Now to get back into exerciseing and also Detoxing{Sauna and streamroom.
I love that. Also need to add weights

I have a goal that I set and one of these months{Hope this year to weigh 110lbs
But at this point I would be happy to weigh 115
I really need to get back and stay with smoothies as they are health and I think good.
I have so many recipe books on juicing and green smoothies.
I know that plain juicing the juice gets into the cells faster. But For me I like keeping the fiber in.
Do u add any good fats or other protein in yours.I also eat alot of salads.
I to should at least do 2-3 days of Smoothies.Hope this site keeps going though it seems like just u and me.

In the past I usually added olive oil to my smoothie---makes a weird texture when it freezws due to the ice. lol

Saunas. I read a remarkable book on sprouting a couple years ago, which led me to the biography of the author. SHe experienced great health living Lituania as a poor peasant girl and loved the saunas of the family she was working for. I have never forgotton her comments.

When she immigrated here to the US she started loosing her teeth, and started to have health problems. She changed her stars by eating greens via sprouting. SHe tried to remember all that her grandmother had taught her--a grandmother with all her teeth.

IMO vegies are very important.

First, I was limited to walmart.

I looked at the HP, the cover, etc. I wanted glass not plastic.

WHat I didnt count on was the pattern of swirling .....its odd and MUST have the cover on it.

I have a couple that cannot handle ice cubes. This one can, easily.

Honestly as good as this one is, I want better. lol

I would like to try the design where the metal blade is screwed on to the container, then turned upside down, whirrrr'ed on the base, then reverse process. Leaving the container open like a huge drinking cup. In my mind cleaning the blades would be easier----might be just my imagination.

PS, this is a blender, not a juicer. IMO the fiber is good for us, at lease what comes with our whole foods. Im no longer sold on bran for the sake of fiber, even if the GI doc recommends it. More vegies IMO is better than more bran.
