Default No More Trouble Zones - Day 7

This morning I had no energy to do exercises. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with what I'm not eating, but I just felt drained. I eventually forced myself to do my routine, but my heart wasn't in it and I don't think I gave it my best. I guess something is better than nothing...

30 minutes - NMTZ

Sherry,

Just my 2 cents: Forcing yourself to exercise when you're tired or unmotivated is the first step on the path to overtraining, and overtraining, either through injury, fatigue, or low-mood, will sabotage an exercise program just as surely as night follows day.

If you're consistently tired, depressed, or have a nagging injury, it's a sign you're doing too much. There's no shame in a strategic retreat, especially if it helps you maintain your training in the long-run.

Knox thanks so much for your advice. I realized it's my iron that's low, although I take iron supplements I don't always take vitamin c and I'm told the vitamin c helps the body to absorb the iron.

Ate plenty of beef yesterday (Wendy's for lunch & corn beef for dinner) took my power boost loaded with vitamin c this morning and I'm feeling fantastic. Got my 30 min workout in so I'm through for the week! If I can get up early enough tomorrow I might decide to go for a walk, I haven't had any sun for a while and I think that's the best power boost you can get!

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!

Default Total Body Home Work Out - Day 1

I was suppose to continue workout No More Trouble Zones by Jillian Michaels but I had to return my friend's DVD No sweat, I decided to go with Total Body Work Out found on http://www.nowloss.com. A basic but good 15 min workout.

I'll stick with this workout for 10 days. Today being day 1.

Default Total Body Home Work Out - Day 2

Completed my TBHW this morning. I'm glad I changed up, realized there's not as much stress on my knees, which works out to be a good thing. I'm really hoping to finally be able to wear my heels to work again.

Had a good work out, actually sweated more, probably because I'm really trying to improve my form. Working the obliques is the hardest, I can actually feel my heart beat racing. A short workout but it's working.

Default Total body workout Day 6

THURSDAY & FRIDAY I completed total body workout. SATURDAY shred 1.

Today, I wanted to get some aerobics in so I did Shred 1. It worked me, but I managed to keep up, with my impact being a slight more higher than previously.

Continued to do Shred lvl 1 today. Because my knee is getting better I can do slightly higher impact, so I guess I'm enjoying it a little more.

I'll be doing Ripped week one for the remainder of this week as well. I am soooo not ready to progress to week two and want to make sure my body is ready.

Keep up the good work!

I've decided I'll post in my gym log once a week, unless there's a change in exercises, etc. This morning Shred lvl 1 and will continue until Friday. Usually, no exercises over the weekend, so my next report will be on Monday when I try tackling Shred 2.

Completed my workout for the week - Shred lvl 1. I'm definitely noticing a difference in my clothes, which motivates me to keep it up next week, by then I'm hoping to start Shred lvl 2.

Default WorkOut Day 18

Saturday our weather was nice so I went to the beach for a walk/jog. It's been a year or more since going to the beach and it felt good. While jogging most of the weight had to be placed on my left leg and I couldn't believe I actually jogged 2 laps which works out to be approx 1 1/2 - 2 miles.

Monday (today)
Started Shred lvl 2. Couldn't believe I felt a sharp pain in my opposite knee while working out...dang. I just sort of did what I could do, however I wasn't to impressed by my performance. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Unless my exercise routine changes, my next post won't be until Friday.
