I'm short. Five feet. And I don't exercise. I blame my mother who thought exercising was for men and women needed to know how to cook. So I know how to cook but excercise is a different story. I'm taking small steps I'm walking to work, which right now is a starbucks that I sit at for hours while writing. It 1.6 miles away from home and it takes me about 30 minutes to get there. I'm on day 2 of walking to work. Yay to walking!
I haven't posted, but I've been walking. My feet are swollen right now. I went to the mall and walked for a good hour and a half. Does being on your feet for two hours cooking count?
So, I joined a gym two weeks ago. The first week was a bit of a blur but this week so far:
Monday: no gym
Tuesday: 1hr treadmill
Wednesday: 1hr on treadmill
Thursday: no gym
Friday: 30 mins on treadmill 10 mins on bicycle
This weekend I'm sticking to the treadmill but next week I hope to add weight training for my legs.
I arrived too late for the Zumba class yesterday but I did do twenty minutes on the bike, at level 3 felt the legs a bit wobbly after. Then, an hour on the treadmill. Impressed. But still gained 3 pounds 'cause I can't stick to low-carb. Giving this one more week. If I break, then I must re-think my eating habits.
