lol, we have found the "offal"..... we dont allow hunting, but reserve abutts 50% of our property line.
Lots of companies have "wild" edibles for home steaders and the like. We r looking at Jerusalem artichokes, and pawpaw and quince, fiddlehead ferns , etc.
What is missing , beyond food items , is the soils and lack of herbicides and persticides They are light years ahead of us; most stuff is banned.
While picking tomatoes today, the bees are out in full force, so a little care is necessary. NO HONEYBEES, just bumble bees. And in the late afternoon, a dismal few bats feeding on mosquitoes.
My micri environment is affected by those pesticide crazy enthusiasts all arou nd the US.
