Magpie it sounds like you are doing really great! I used to go around 3X sometimes too. Another fun thing if you can get support from an owner and a few other members is doing more ambitious cardio on the recovery stations. One of the owners at the Curves I belonged to used to lead us in that and it really changed up the workout once a week. Other ladies who didn't want to join in just did whatever they usually do on the recovery stations. We were still doing the circuit as usual - just with more antics in between each machine.

There are some fun things that go on in some clubs to keep it from getting boring!

Best wishes to you. Wii Fit is now officially on my Santa list.

I joined Curves about a month ago. I'm loving it. I can really feel it when I've worked out. Even when I'm tired, I come out of there on an energy high. I'm heading in again tomorrow when dh gets home from work. Pity they are closed Thursday till Tuesday. I'll have to supplement with my Wii and some walking.

I just started Curves again. I had done it several years back and then decided to move on to a bigger gym (YMCA). I wasn't doing low carb back then. Now, I'll be LC'ing and doing Curves.

I think it's a great workout, especially for beginners, because it's simple, doesn't require prior experience and has a social aspect to it that keeps many motivated to go and workout.

In my area the price is high compared to large gyms - like Gold's. However, the price is quite comparable to yoga classes (6 weeks/once a week class). If you think of it as a class vs. a gym - it's not a bad price. During their food drives, they'll wave the membership fee if you bring in a bag of food (usually in April). Many Curves have added a circuit Zumba class as well as cardio steppers for those who would like to go every day. You can pay monthly minus a yearly contract - that way - if you feel you've outgrown Curves or get bored, you can move on to a different gym/workout.
