Basicaly you will have to try different number combinations, or work out the mathbefore entering. Each carb (including SA's excluding fiber) is worth 4 calories. If you put the SA's under fiber you have to subtract 4 calories for each SA. If you put them under alcohol then you have to figure 6 calories for each alcohol carb.

You can put the sugar alcohols under fiber, but you have to compensate for calories. Or you can put the SA's under alcohol. In that case you will have to change the amount of calories or SA's.

You'll find though that if you just enter the total carbs and fiber, the calories work out fine. I always do this, but I also count SA's. Minimal effect on blood sugar is far different then no effect.

honey, on fitday, there's a add custom feature that you can use. just click on it, then enter in the values (as seen from your nutrition food label). for sugar alcohol, i basically subtract it before entering it in. for an example, russel stover has 21g of total carbs, which consist of 2 grams of fiber and 18 grams of sugar alcohol. so for total of carbs on fitday, i would enter 3 grams of total carbs, which 2 are from fiber.
