Default Dry Mouth

Hello Fellow Low Carbers,
Wanted to share my progress and ask a couple of questions.
In two weeks I have lost 11.4 pounds! I know water weight accounts for some of it, but I am really happy about the number.
I have tried a bit of IR, and found that I really wasn't hungry, just as many of you have said. Going to try staying on the 16/8, or 18/6. I think that is best for me, because I'm old! :-)
I'm wondering about calories. Is there a minimum to sustain weight loss? I know counting calories isn't necessary, but I want to be sure I am doing everything "by the book."
Also, I'm experiencing dry mouth. Any of you had a really dry mouth? Is that common, or is something else going on?
Thank you in advance for any info you can share.
Maeve

Congratulations on your progress!
Too much sodium can cause a dry mouth. Not drinking enough liquid can also do it.
As for counting calories - I do so I make sure I don't under eat.

Well done!!
Dry mouth - I had trouble with this early on. I just drank as much water (etc.) as it took to help me rehydrate. Over a few weeks things evened out again and the dry mouth has not returned.

Calories, for most of my loss I was averaging in the 800s for calories per day. Didn't seem to do me any harm. Even now when my calories are a lot higher on average I'm not losing quickly because I'm close to goal, but I am still losing. I keep track of all my intake in Fitday so that's been helpful.

Congrats on your success so far!
