Question Where can I find info on ...

how the body processes carbs? I'm not even sure how to phrase my questions, LOL. I can't seem to find anywhere that puts this info all together, without them also talking about having diabetes. I don't have diabetes, but just want to understand more about how my body processes carbs, how insulin works, what folks are talking about when they say their sugar level spikes, etc. Thanks for your help.

Default Have you read the Atkins books?

I used to sell diabetes testing equipment so I had a general understanding; got the latest updates from DANDR.

Both the original Protein Power book, and the more recent Protein Power Lifeplan explain how carbs, fat and protein are digested, and how insulin works. The explanations are very in-depth, but very readable for any person. Your library likely has a copy of these books which you can borrow.
