Well, I have given birth to my second child exactly 4 1/2 months ago. So why haven't I lost all this weight?? I gained 72 pounds with the first child and lost it all in about a year. Now I have gained 48 with this one and nothing seems to be moving! I finally braved getting onto the scale yesterday and realized that I have lost 5 pounds. That was encouraging, but I still have between 35 - 40 to go! I am trying to keep my chin up, but it is hard to do so when you get up every morning and find that you still can hardly wear half of your clothes! I am keeping my chin up though because I know in the end...whenever that may be....it will all be worth it.

Hi Rachel,

Good to have you along. Losing weight second time around is never easy, our fat cells dig there toes in and refuse to budge.

Now that you have taken the biggest step (choosing LC) it is all downhill from here

In no time youi'll find more and more clothese fit you and you'll end up tossing out the "biggies"....such fun

Get started on a journal so we can all pop in and see how you are going. It's a great way to monitor progress.

Good luck

lesley

Default Hi Rach and Leslie...

Rachel, congratulations on that 5 pounds and for committing to this life style. As you know from your past experience this is an awesome way to lose weight! Congratulations on your 2nd child...that's awesome and must feel so rewarding. I wish that I could say my weight was because of childbirth...but, I haven't been that lucky yet. Still have hope!

Leslie... your stats are so close to mine...sorry we haven't met on the boards before. I'll have to look for your journal to say hi.

Both of you should come visit the 190's countdown. Most us us are between 168 and 199 and we love to have visitors. Maybe you can just stop by to say hello. I know that often times people are committed to so many threads that it's impossible. But, if not, you're both welcome!

Hope to see you on the boards

Default How about buying something new?

Your stats are close to mine also. I also have two children, 7 and 3. I am also going through the same problem. I have all these clothes but nothing fits. So, I went and bought some new clothes that fit, something I could excercise in and wear daily. Just having something that I am comfortable in, look good in, and hopefully will become too big for me soon, makes me feel better and makes me want to be active.

Soon I hope to be back wearing all the great clothes I have.

Good luck
