Default LC & period question

I have been following a low carb diet for a long time now because I know it is a good eating plan for us with PCOS. Since I have been doing this, and also taking glucophage, my cycle has been every month. But, I have noticed that if I have BAD food cravings & go off of low carb & eat tons of junk, my period doesn't start on time. Does this happen to anyone else? Is this just a coincidence or does low carb really make a difference?

Oh yes! I've noticed this too. Or else my period is longer than the normal 7-10 days and awful crampy when it does come!
