Cool Newbie change of lifestyle

Howdy Yall

Well looks like I have found a great site. I have read several of the forums. Great stuff... A year ago I was hospitalized with bleeding ulcers and when the did my blood work discovered my blood sugar was at 520.... so got the diabetic run down .. sent me home with a triangle food chart and said good luck... over the past year I have struggled with that diet chart... and basical gave up and went back to my old life style "eating whatever and whenever I want" Until i checked my sugar and it was back up to 400.. and just taking the meds is not enough. So begin to read about the adkins plan and decided to give it a try... my weight is coming down ..... whoooo hoooo for that .. but wow my blood sugar has droped down into the avg of 150s.... and im feeling great... still need to learn more about low carb eating but I think I have found something that i can live with ...and hey aint that what its all about ..LIVING

Hello Wayne, glad you found us!

I'm quite amazed by the fact that several new members recently said the same thing, that follwing a low-carb plan they are able to bring their diabetese under control.
