Theres a long list of things you can do under the article called "Intestinal Health" by doreen up with the other "Low Carb Tips".

The best ways to prevent this are to eat your vegetables (this is low carb, not NO carb and you really do need them); drink your water (often constipation is the result of being dehydrated) and eat enough fat.

Nat

HI,

I'm very, very new to LCing. But, several things really worried me, including problems that I'd read regarding constipation. Yesterday, I was already starting to feel a bit blocked. But, I read a few things on different websites about flaxseed and wheat germ. Last night, I had a tablespoon of flaxseed oil. This morning, (around 9am) I had another tablespoon of flaxseed oil and 2 tablespoons of wheatgerm. I was unblocked within the hour. Flaxseed oil has no carbs. Each tablespoon of wheat germ has about 3 carbs, 2 of which are fiber. I'm definitely planning on having 3 cups of salad today come h-ll or high water. I should still be under 25g of carbs, which (I think) is okay.

Default iron?

my insides were moving about as freely as london traffic in the rush hour until i started alternating the multi-vitamin i was taking which had 100% rda of iron, with one that was iron-free.
now it's like london traffic at ten o'clock on sunday, but, hey, no-body's perfect, and that's good enough for me.

Hi Precious,

I merged your thank you into this post so it would remain in context.

So, what worked the best for you?
