I went for a physical a couple weeks ago. Unless you are at death's door you generally just get a follow-up letter from the doctor explaining the results of blood tests, etc. If you get an actual phone call from the doctor then you better start seeing if your affairs are in in order.

Anyway, I got my letter, and it said that basically everything was pretty good, but that my thyroid results were a little off and she wanted me to come back in to recheck the thyroid.

So I'm going in tomorrow for a recheck. I'm just not 100% sure what got tested the first time. I'm not sure what the results were. I'd call and ask it to be FAXed but my only fax is at the office, and I don't really want those results coming over the fax where anyone could see them, nor do I want to spend a long time hovering over my fax machine which is halfway across the floor from my desk. So I guess tomorrow I will ask for a copy.

But if I'm going to recheck I just want to be sure I discuss with her the idea of what things ought to be tested and *why*. I think I want to make sure I get FT3 and Ft4, as well as rT3. Also T3 and T4. Not sure what she will allow or may argue over, but I can start to ask at least.

Get a copy of the results and post them here with the ranges.

Having a less than optimal thyroid could be why dieting is fizzling out for you.
