I'll join you. I've certainly been maintaining for over a year, and even went below goal where I am even happier. I hear what you're saying about having a cushion, but I am loving the thinness, feel healthy and energetic and have some (I think) body fat here and there ... just in case.
I hope the others in this group return - I feel left out of all the weight loss games and such so this thread can be my home ( :

I had a hard time finding this thread. I haven't been getting any emails from you, and I would always follow them to the board. I miss my posting, and looked it up. I hope this thread continues. I need the support. I'm just a normal food addict. I used to weigh 343. Since May, 2009, I have been under 140. I've been as low as 129, but that was too low.

Welcome back - I would like to see the thread continue as well - if we keep posting, it will! It would be nice to have some chat as well as stats for us maintainers.

Out of curiosity, patience, why did you think 129 was too low? The way you looked or the way you felt? What did you do to bring your weight back up? Cheat days, increase carbs, increase calories?
I like to find out how others "tweek" their WOE to achieve goals ...

Only on the maintainers forum! Thank you, cshepard for asking ME how to GAIN weight. That is ironic for someone who used to weigh 343 pounds. To answer: I knew I was too thin when my rear end was so bony that I was uncomfortable in the metal chairs at meetings at work. And I increased calories to gain my weight back. I was careful to make them nutrition packed calories: flaxseed oil, chia seeds in dressings, etc. I avoided 'cheat days' because I tend to binge on flour and sugar. I always think, "I promise. I'll have just one this time." But that 'one' turns into the entire bag, or loaf, or half gallon.

Ah, the boney butt syndrome (lol). I have it, as well, but think of it as a small price to pay!
I would worry with putting on extra weight, that it would not go where I wanted it ... how would you control that? I take it it worked well for you, though.

I hope Deb 'weighs' in with her strategy for gaining back some pounds.

I made it to 137!!
Having to gain is a new experience....I think Im stabilized at this weight.....Stress made me lose out of control....I think I have the stress contained..

The results of my total bone scan( I have a bone tumor near my hip)..should be available Tues....it may be just a benign tumor.....they wanted to make sure it hadn't spread...and the scan was to see if it was of concern or not

I was 138.8 on 04/23/16. Are we going to share our weights. Is there a master to insert my weight into? I love the conversations with other maintainers, but I need the HONESTY and DISCIPLINE of weighing weekly. I have a quirky mind that says it doesn't count if it says 'non-fat' (sugar is non-fat), that it doesn't count if it is from Trader Joe's, and that I don't gain weight if I don't know about it. I do much better posting my weights weekly.
