So glad to have found this site. Been lurking for a few days. Heard about the Atkins diet plan last week; started Wednesday, and loving it. Was trying to deal with the low fat/stay fat plans over the last 4 years. I managed to gain 15 pounds. So now I need to loose 40. This site seems to be extremely helpful in both information and encouragement. Hope to meet and chat with ya'll soon.

I have found it a wonderful way to be healthy and slowly get to my goal. I have spent so many years hungry and deprived (to not lose or even gain) and now it once the rules are ingrained and you realize how many options of foods that you can have and enjoy... it is so amazing to me.
