Default Old Rag Hike - Part 3

After some good Keto food we prepared to head down to the "rock scramble"

But not before one more selfie

A "Rock Scramble" sounds fun, right?

Where did the trail go? Oh - just follow the little blue markers on the rocks!

The rock scramble went on for 2 miles! Fun? Maybe - Challenging? DEFINITELY!!

Default Old Rag Hike - Part 4

Some parts of the "scramble" were really cool

I'm glad that I wasn't any bigger

I made it through the Rock Scramble battered, bruised, but still in one piece

With the last of the steep slopes behind us we still had 2 miles to go

But that last part was easy-peasy - making it back to the car 15 minutes before sunset

DD is Beautiful!!

I saw no bears, but I did see some very grumpy girl friends that had no idea what their partners were getting them in to. I'm quite proud of myself for getting through some of the tougher areas. My legs were ready. I didn't realize how much I'd be using my arms. The following day I was a limp noodle.

Default Old Rag Hike - Part 5

As tough as it was, Kelsey and I made a great memory that day. Will I do Old Rag again? I don't think so. Some of it was quite dangerous. One part of the trail required a rock to rock leap over a deep crevasse. That was not for the faint of heart, let me tell you. Never say never - but I think I can find other places to hike. Old Rag -- been there, done that.

Lovely pictures of your hill walk. I would have enjoyed the main route, but you can keep the scrambling! If you ever make it to the Lake District over here, you should try Sharp Edge on Blencathra!
