Just wanted to share this with you all.
Before I started the Atkins diet, going out was not really a thinking thing. I just picked what ever had the most and what ever made my stomach growl. Now adays things are different.
At work, on Fridays, I order out along with others, and people have commented on my lunches. Usually the phone call sounds like this: "Hi can I have 2 greek salads, 3 steak and cheese subs, and three cheeseburgers with extra cheese, mushrooms and cooked onions, oh and can I have that with no rolls... yes just the hamburgers... yes, I'm the one on that diet."
A few weeks ago I went out to eat with 6 other friends of mine. I had to order dinner plus a cheif salad. (Due to the fact that, no I don't want a potato, no rice either. No bread. I'm sorry I can't eat corn. No cornbread. no.. just the chicken and the roast veggies.)You should have see my friends faces. I could almost read their minds... "How can she eat all that and lose weight?!"
A week later with the same friends, we ordered chinese... that goodness for egg fo yung!!! (No gravy, yeck!)
Just yesterday, I went to a mexican resturant and had the steak fajita and they gave me a free salad instead of rice and beans.. Its nice when you win.
