I NEVER forget to eat

I can cook for myself though, but my DW does most of the time.

I had my local Publix supermarket bring in 5 pounds of sliced, fresh side pork. It's like uncured bacon. DW cooked the pork, I grilled some 100% grass-fed organic burgers, put them on a buttered zero carb bun and topped it with Kerry Gold cheese and a little organic ketchup. Yummy.

I walked 3 miles this evening, and didn't eat that much else today, picked on some nuts and 80% chocolate. But I didn't FORGET to eat.

I've never gone the frozen food "TV Dinner" route, but my mother-in-law used to eat a lot of them. I guess it's easy for those who don't want to take the time to cook.

Bob

For some that may be the reason, for others (like my husband) it's a lack of knowledge & skill. If you don't have a natural bent toward cooking (or early lessons), learning how to cook can be a hard, up-hill battle, with lots of burnt stuff discarded along the way.

I'm pretty proud of what my non-cooking husband can manage. He learned to cook oatmeal when I stopped eating it. He's also learned to do a few veggies that I rarely cook because I don't eat them, such as potatoes.

My boys know how to cook. It is my legacy to prevent T2diabetes in their future.

Sure wish cooking was more common. Its becoming a forgotten art by many I know. Fast food, opening cans.....not real food.

I cook big quantities so I can have my own frozen dinners.

Medical science? Aren't statins the fountain of youth??? Isn't T2D a disease for life that can only be managed?
