Default Carb-Up & Ketosis question (you guys are used to gross things by now)

I figured this was the right place to post because this is where all the carb cycling people come.

Let me first say that I am not on CKD, because I can't lift weights religiously enough to need it. I'm good with my aerobics. Still, I do like the idea of leptin refeeds and it makes sense to do one every 2-3 weeks or so. Yesterday was mine.

Does anybody notice that, after a night/day/meal of carbing-up that their urin seems to be flooded with ketones? That's the only way to check to see that my body's in ketosis, and heck, I still could be misjudging, but it seems like every time I eat higher-carb, my urin gets more bright yellow and has a much more pungent odor. This same color and odor that, when less strong, I have in the past assumed was ketones.

I have heard that your are in ketosis for probably the 24 hours following a carb-up, but this has happened in the past when I "went off plan" for weeks during the holiday. Whenever I would eat a higher-carb meal (most meals) I would get this same thing.

I was thinking that my body has just become accustomed to burning fat and ketones, and now it just thinks carbs are weird. In that case...great! but I have no proof or info to back it up, just wishful thinking.

Can anybody help??

Bright yellow urine is usually from excess vitamin B-2 (riboflavin).
