ADM Soy7(TM) Pasta Now Available Online
DECATUR, Ill., April 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Archer Daniels Midland Company has announced today that Soy7(TM) pasta is now available for sale via the internet at www.soy7.com .

``We have had such tremendous success in the Denver, Colorado market. Consumers from all over the country have been contacting us requesting to purchase Soy7(TM) pasta products,'' stated Tony DeLio, Vice President of Marketing and External Affairs. ``The pasta has excellent taste and cooks just like regular pasta. Soy7(TM) Pasta also has twice the protein as regular pasta, which is good news for individuals on carbohydrate restricted diets.''

In addition to taste, Soy7(TM) pasta carries the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) health claim that states, ``Consuming 25 grams of soy protein per day, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease.'' Each serving of pasta contains 7 grams of soy protein and is available in six varieties: spaghetti, rotini, lasagna, elbow, penne macaroni and angel hair pasta.

Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM - news) is a world leader in agricultural processing. The Company is one of the world's largest processors of soybeans, corn, wheat and cocoa. ADM is also a leader in soy meal and oil, ethanol, high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) and flour. Not sure if the focus is to make low-carb pasta, but the press release by ADM does specify those on "carbohydrate restricted" plans.

Having companies like ADM notice the low-carb demand is very significant and points to the rising trend and increase in the low-carb segment.
