Default A Body that won't budge

I do a high intensity walk-jog on a home treadmill everyday for about 90-100 minutes. At the end of my workouts, my clothes are soak and wet with sweat...and I do free weights once I'm done...but I am not losing weight.

This regimen last summer worked well for my weight loss goals.

I've been sticking to lowcarbing, and I have protein water before, during and after my workout to keep me going...

what could possibly be going on?

When I looked at your profile it says you've been lc-ing for a week. Have you lost 10 lbs in that week? When did you start lc?

I personally have always been advised to lift before cardio, you might want to do more research on that. How long have you been doing this kind of work-out?

Are you shrinking? Did you take measurements? I often change size/shape, but my weight doesn't budge.

Up the intensity, cut the duration. 100 minutes of treadmill followed by weights is waaayyyyyy too much.

You might be able to do much better on the weights too if you don't tire yourself out so much with that much cardio beforehand.

I like to keep my so-called 'cardio' completely separate from weight training. I don't even do cardio on the same days as I do the weight training routine. If I decide to up the cardio any time soon, I'm probably going to do it at a different time of day than the weight training on those days of the week where I do both.

Or, as suggested in previous posts - do the cardio part after the weight training. And 100 minutes is definitely 'too much'.

To much cardio - to maximize fat loss you should aim for at least 45 minutes everyday, but no more than 60 minutes per session. Also, check your diet, most people don't need to count calories when doing Atkins, but when you get closer to goal, most people need to. Even with all the exercise, you may not be getting a calorie deficit because your eating to much. Or, you may be eating to little for the amount of calories your burning. Also, take measurements, you could be getting smaller but not seeing it on the scale.

Bingo, i agree with the above, you may not be eating enough cals - I had this problem, corrected it and lost again. Plus, it could be the other way around too i suppose

Just curious, what kind of protein water are you drinking? The Brand and amount you are drinking before and after. I have some info on those protein waters but need to know what kind and how much you are having. Also how many of those waters do you drink in a day?

I am not drinking prepackaged protein water. I making my own with Biolean protein powder which is unflavored sugar free and has a minimal carb content.

I only do about a half of scoop and water after workouts.

For me, I find it very difficult to lose weight while exercising on induction level carbs. It seems like the exercise just pisses my body off! When I want to exercise (which is not very often, although I am planning to start a weight training regime very soon), I prefer to shift to maintenance level carbs (from vegetables, fruit and the occasional LC tortilla) and lower my fat intake just slightly. I lose weight this way (albeit slowly, like 1 lb a week) and feel 100x better. YMMV. I know there are a lot of exercisers on this forum that do it on zero carb and feel great, so to each his own.

Question QUESTION: Knee pain!

I've been jogging, an hour a day, stopped when knee began to hurt.
Tried to keep the cardio with power walking an hour instead.
Pain is still there.
Its in the ligaments its seems.
Now I have to stop.
Thats counter productive to weight loss.
Any advice on how to heal from this and still exercise?
I LOVE jogging.

I will say this 'till the dirt is rattling on the lid of the box three inches over my head:

GET IN THE WEIGHT ROOM

Train like an athlete, not like a hamster. Pain in your knee is your body begging, pleading with you to STOP the death marches.

Weights first, then cardio definitely. Your body is getting used to your workout. Switch it up, do something different every day. Don't go too high or low with the calories, but switch that up too. Sounds like your body has lost some weight and adjusted to that level of activity, now you gotta trick it into losing more.
