Thumbs up Enjoyed Myself

Thanks everyone for coming.

It was great meeting new people .... putting faces and voices to posts. Great to see Ken and Margaret again : both looking a whole lot slimmer and healthier than last time. Great to talk shop - amazing how long we can go on and on about LC without getting bored!! Great to hear the success stories from everyone. Jon's especially is a great inspiration.

Enjoyed the walk - I think it was better than the first time. Hope we'll do it again soon.

Take care now.

Default Fresh Air

Hi Everybody

Just a quickie to say a BIG THANK YOU to Fiona for arranging another successful event. Golders Park is really beautiful, especially at this time of year with all the autumn colours. It was so nice to meet Bez and Jon (hope you enjoyed the play Jon). Plenty of fresh air and conversation. It always amazes me how people who have only met fleetingly over the Internet can get along as if they've known each other for years. I can't wait for the next get-together. Thanks to you all for a great afternoon.

Keep smiling

Ken (& Margaret)

Bez: Thanks for bringing the 'Blue Peter Badge'

Glad you had such a good time, folks.

The new picture's great, Ken. Looks like an appreciable weight-loss since the last one was taken!

Smile No time Like the Present

Why wait. Now is a good time to start planning the next meet.

Any suggestions on location, date? I reckon before the year is out would be great.
Take care.

Hi Fiona

Yes you probably can't believe this but it's me. After alot of pressure Ken has persuaded me that I can do this. I am finding I have to be very patient. I think a phone call would be easier, but I have been told to persevere.

Anyway thank you very much for such a lovely time yesterday. It was great to see you again Fiona and to meet Bez and Jon.
After saying to you I am on a standstill with my weight loss I have to admit that I weighed myself today and although not alot I have managed to lose half a pound this week,(it was probably the walk yesterday)
Although we've had a lovely day today it was not a good day for our carb intake. Eating out and carbs don't mix. You should have seen the meal we ate at lunch time. Mind you we thought a bad day won't hurt we do deserve a treat every so often. we're back to carb counting tomorrow. As far as we know Nikki has arrived to lovely weather in Lanzarote.
We must meet again soon. Discussing carbs is a great way to keep you on the diet
Speak to you soon

Thumbs up Well Done Margaret

Four posts already - I will have to hunt the others out.

Glad you had a good day yesterday ... and today. It was great to see you looking soooooo well and sparkling. We have a lot in common!

A phone call would certainly have been quicker but this way you have the power to inspire and reach a whole lot more people and make many more LC friends and chat about LC whenever you can tear yourself away from church activities!!

Take care now.

Default Hi from the frozen North

Hi

Safely back in Whitley Bay. So good to meet you all at last.

Like the new pics Ken and Margaret. I'm assuming you found Baker St. Bez.

The play was AWFUL - left at the interval. It had 3 actors, no scenery etc and was about a young african with ?schizophrenia. Took stigma to new heights. I was alternately furious and upset. They seemed to think side-effects of strong psychiatric drugs (trembling and funny walk) were suitable for joking about. Not nice.

Had a nice lunch yesterday at an Italian - no pizza or pasta - had salad followed by chicken salad followed by coffee. Good journey back - v. full train - mainly "salt of the earth" drunken geordie football fans who fell in love with Helen.

Speak to you soon

Jon

Great pictures, Ken.

Glad everyone had a good time.

Sounds like it was just as well Jon did something good before the play!

Best wishes to all,

Thumbs up Great Pics Ken

What happened to the photo of the ducks and squirrel you took Ken? I'm sure some people (living in desertland) would be glad to see that albeit these are just fantastic. Love the smiles on everyone's faces.

Sorry about your evening Jon ... better luck next time.

Take care.
