Your statement "but every time I fell off the wagon, just got right back on is a sign to me. If that occurred about every three weeks or so, it's a binge cycle and a classic sign of a CA.
Unless you're actually allergic/sensitive to specific carb foods, CAD controls insulin and cravings.
CAD does need to be followed strictly for about three weeks to get a good read on your body responses. Generally if you follow the program strictly, appetite and cravings drastically decrease and you will feel the best you have ever felt on a "diet".
You must remember though that CAD is not Atkins with an RM. It is higher protein and lower fat than Atkins and certain foods allowed on Atkins are not allowed on CAD except at RM. If you eat the foods you ate on Atkins, i.e., nuts, AS, cream cheese, high fat, with the RM, you will gain weight!!
I would print out the cheat sheet and stall list in the forum and post them everywhere necessary. Follow the program strictly.
Also read CAD/CALP members journals and see what their eating and in what amounts. That would be very helpful.
I also suggest reading threads/posts in the CAD forum back about 3 months worth. The posts will answer a lot of questions, give you a lot of info and address issues that might concern you.
Commit to running the program "clean" for three weeks. Cut out possible stallers and learn your body.
Good luck!!
