Default Reb's trying to get fit....

Read Lisa K's journal here and it's inspired me to start one!

Went to the pool 3 times last week for 1/2 an hour at a time with a 2 mile walk each time (The gym and pool are 1 mile from our house.).

I got fed up of going to aerobics and step classes and decided I wanted to do something more exciting and interesting. I went to kickboxing aerobics this morning - WOW! it's fantastic! Raises your heart rate, makes you sweat loads and gets rid of your tension too! Just imagine beating someone you really hate and it's magic! I've booked in for next week

I might try boxercise too........ but am looking at getting me some skates too. I find it very difficult to exercise if what I'm doing is boring - I have no motivation to do it if it can't hold my attention. Would like to do trampolining but am having trouble finding a local group.

Got a toning class tomorrow morning!!

Default RAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got real mad with myself yesterday and channeled the anger into an hour at the gym. I did 10 mins on the bike, 10 mins on the crosstrainer (I only ever did 5 before and hated it totally, but used my anger to get me through it and felt ok!!!!), 24 leg extensions with 5kg, 24 leg culs with 25kg, 24 shoulder presses (I think thats what they're called) with 0kg and 24 lateral presses with 25kg. I went on the bike for another 5 mins afterwards cause I still had energy! I enjoyed it all too. What I might do is go on the treadmill and work up to doing some running - I always wanted to do running but have always been too big for it.

I've got another bit of a rage on today (Housework, pah! and at myself again) so I can use it in my kickboxing this morning!

WOOHOO!!!!!!

****************************************************

Been to kickboxing - the rage didn't get me very far cause the air conditioning wasn't working so after about half an hour I was wilting! Still, got a sweat up!!

Went to the gym today

10 mins bike
10 mins cross trainer
24 leg extensions ~ 5lbs
24 leg curls ~ 25kg
24 bench presses - no weight
24 lats ~ 45kg

Stepping up the weights now! Was at 25kg on leg extensions for 10 of them but it was too much after the crosstrainer, so I dropped it back to 5lbs and did the rest at that weight.

I wonder what I can do to make this more interesting.......

Today's workout was the same as the last one on Weds but I did it in about 45 mins rather than an hour and I managed to do the 10 mins on the crosstrainer without stopping like I had to last time. My heart rate is at 160 a minute rather than the 170 it has been over the last three times I've been, so maybe I should step up something. On my next visit I get trained to use some more machines. Strangely, I'm looking forwards to the treadmill
