OMG....back from a horrible day on the golf course. The sun was out for a total of 20 minutes this morning and by the time we started, it was cloudy, gray & windy....temps in the 40's. We powered thru, but it's unfortunate that our last golf day of the year had to be like that. It is doubtful that we'll get out again before Spring.

DGS17's symptoms were like head cold/sinus issues. DD just called....positive. Whole family will be quarantining. Sigh........

I'm making fresh salmon for dinner tonight. It is from the fish that DH & DS caught up in NY last summer. DS vacuum sealed them and put them in the freezer and then gave us a few filets. He packaged them in large packs, so I hope it is good reheated as there is no way DH & I will eat the whole piece tonight.

Nic.....glad your family is sprung from quarantine! Nice walking the last couple days!

Jaz....sounds like you've been eating well the past couple days. Steak salad...yum! Enjoy your lounge day.

Trig......snow...ugh for sure! I wouldn't care if I never saw another flake!

---------

Have to drop my car off to be inspected etc. tomorrow. We'll probably take it tonight and throw the keys in their drop slot. Tomorrow will be spent doing the mountain of laundry that has accumulated this week.

Hugs all around!

Lori, sorry to hear that he is positive. I hope he has the same experience as my son did, which was very mild. Do make sure that they have a good strong routine in place of who touches what/ sanitizing etc. Do they have a pulse ox? That was very reassuring to me bc I was told that breathing problems can happen even without a cough or them realizing it. Hopefully no one else in the household comes up positive- we did not.

Sorry you had a crappy golf day. It is truly amazing how long the season lasted this year!

Hi all!

Lori---It makes my heart swell every time you share your Aunt Betty stories. Such a kindness you and hubby show her, and what can possibly be more in too short of supply these days than simple kindness and decency.

Also, I really agree w/what Trig said, and I'd never quite thought about it in the way she put it---many oldsters are content with a smaller world---because we tend to see things from our POVs. But that was so true of both my mom and dad as they grew older. The key thing was we were able to keep them both in their homes, eventually w/home help care, just like you are doing w/Betty. LOVE that she's getting a good drive thru bacon cheeseburger when you can furnish it! Small joys.

Nic---So happy to have read your dad's scan came back well. Know that news is a bit old now, but had to comment on it as it is the "merriest" of news.

Oh, I so feel for your son in this, as I do for mine. Glad he's feeling better and at least the THING will be behind him soon. Still, the Youngers have really paid their share to the piper in this pandemic---experiences lost and gone they won't get back. On the other side of it, also experiences that will I HOPE, for him and all of us, shine with their silver linings as we move forward.

You are absolutely our Xmas girl! So made me smile today, reading thru what I've missed in the last week, and picturing our resident Ms. Santa get 'er done! For so many years now I've felt your Xmas spirit---the lights, the traditions, the pajamas, LOL, and enjoyed the heck out of it. Move over THING, you aren't going to stop our Xmas energizer bunny!

Jaz---OMG, SO glad you turned down that job! Just. No.

I'm loving your passion for dipping your toes, smartly, into Wall Street. You have obviously been smart about it or you'd be living under a bridge right now, LOL. Wall Street is just one big casino, and you understand this. Also, sounds like it's bought you a new on-line group of friends. This is so great in these times, and so great for your learning curve. I'm so impressed that you've been able to live on the proceeds w/out touching your "nut." The more you can do that, the longer you have to find, if not the job of your dreams (is there one out there like that?) then at least as close to it as you can get, all things considered.

One of my oldest besties is spending Xmas by herself too. Although she'd rather be w/her family in Canada, she's hot spit ahead to do what's she's never done, make her very own Xmas. She's actually kind of excited about it, and we're having fun planning both of our very much smaller Christmas days. This is one of the silver linings of the THING---really is producing some very creative responses, which means we win in the end.

For instance, doing a holiday zoom w/5 other old pals from one coast to the other, and we're all showing up with holiday pix of ourselves as kids. Which has got me going thru old family photo albums I haven't looked thru in too long. Silver linings light the world right now.

Girl, you have GOT TO check out "Last Tango in Halifax." Netflix. Will stop nagging on this when you tell me you just didn't like it. Give it an episode. You are in for a treat I think. Just give it a minute. And hey NIC, I think you'd LOVE this series too. Don't know the rest of y'all's TV taste to know if you'd like it, but again all I can say is if you give it a minute, you're in for a delight

Trig---Well, amongst much other stuff I've gleaned from my "read-back" I can't help but comment on how much I salivated about that trout your hubby is coming home with! I know you hate fish, but your post about hubby's trout brought me back to great memories of my dad coming home on Sunday mornings in the summer, after being out there at the crack of dawn fishing, and frying us up fresh trout and sliced potatoes, with his own "secret sauce" otherwise known as tartar sauce, dad style. Y'know, there is almost NOWHERE you can order trout at a restaurant. Not that you care, LOL.

And I just have to echo what everyone else has said---OMG, for the love of your daughter---regarding your trip. Ha. You are a wussy about a little cold the way I am a wussy about heat. I would have been outside that camper, bundled up in front of a good fire with a good drink in a heart beat! I loved that little rushing river.

Still, pretty sure you're home and cozy and glad to be there. Like Nic said, these days sometimes it's enough to just get out ENOUGH to be so happy to be home.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, so my last week was once again a whirlwind of work. But I have to say here, that this is RELATIVE. Time was I could have lassoed this last week with my hands tied behind my back, and plenty of time to spare. Finding the THING and all attendant issues has re-defined my mojo. Not all bad, not all good, just different, and just the way it is.

And, I've been an independent contractor long enough to know that when it pours, you get your bucket out and run around trying to catch every drop. Because I know, it could be weeks of silence on that front, any day now.

I'm---a big fat OK, with streaks of pretty darn good. I'll take that, and check out for tonight, as I need to get back to Halifax---last season. They are short seasons, and jam packed with delight.

Good Morning!

A lovely, long post from Blue......love it! I love your plans for "zooming" with your friends and sharing memories of Christmas past....such a fun idea. I hope you have just enough work coming in to keep you busy over the winter, but not too much that will make you feel overwhelmed.

Yes, Nic has been providing my Christmas spirit. I'm never really into it, but even less so this year. I enjoy seeing and hearing about what others are doing with decorating, gifts etc., but I just have no desire to do it myself.

--------

OMG...just saw the weather forecast. We are supposed to get 12-24 inches of snow Wednesday into Thursday!! I'll be hitting the grocery store early Wednesday morning to get us stocked up on everything. What a mess it will be. Poor DH has our considerable driveway to handle plus Betty's. She's on a corner in town, so there is A LOT of sidewalk. I'll remind him this morning to make sure his snow blower is ready to go.

My car is in for service today, so I'll just putter around the house and tackle Mt. Laundry. I'll get out tomorrow and early Wednesday before I'm snowed in for days! Wonder where my boots are??

Later!

Good Morning Friends!!!!!!-

Goodness what year is this going on for the 5 of us? Another Christmas season!!!!!

Blue- Lovely post and worth the wait! I WILL be checking out Halifax today! and give updates tomorrow!!!! I love a great show!!!

I hear you on silver livings for this 2020- we gotta take them how we can get them. I am so glad to hear you and hubby are safe and healthy!!!!!- This C-19 is knocking alot of younger people and healthy people down! I put myself in the category: I can't go there!

I love the idea of Zooming! Are you still doing your Friday Happy Hour with your buds via zoom?

How are you doing your shopping these days? Just curious. Is TJ's your go to place? I find such interesting things there!!! There is one here in Athens and I go every couple weeks. They have some things you don't find in other stores.

Awesome you are working and at your pace. I totally agree that this year, some motivation has left the building!!!! I do what needs done as well and that is about it. I will take work- but it needs to feel right.

Yea I can see the MN gal in you bundled up in front of a roaring fire with a beverage and just having a GRAND time!!!!!! We southern girls are WUSSIES! Self admitted!!!!

Lori- So sorry to here DGS17- C- positive! I said that yesterday, but was thinking more about it today. I hope like Nic's kid he recovers fast!!!!!

Agreed that Betty is so blessed to have you and hubby.

Girl you and NIC have some BIG TIME weather headed your direction. Stock up now!!!!- Coming to a door step near you- or rather YOUR doorstep! Looks like it could be a doozy! It's all over the news.

Yea I am sorry that your last day of gold wasn't grand. However, Spring is one season away. That is how I am looking at it. Hell we are almost half way through Dec. - then JAN/Feb- 8 weeks and BOOM March will be here!!!!!!!
Glad you two are doing well too!!!!!

Nic- Mrs. Claus!!!! Look at you in the Spirit of Christmas! So how all is coming I am assuming your DD and SIL.
So nice to have been SPRUNG and nobody else got "IT". I know that has got to make you feel good.

My goodness I do know the prices of housing up you way is just unreal!!! Well- DS22- have a great home and it sounds like you all are making it work!!!!

I am with you on the PO lines. I have to send my DS one other thing and not sure when I want to send it. He just moved into his new house and there are some issues , so he is not unpacking. And one more item would be left in a box anyway. Always something.

Well you go - Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!!!

Trig- You are socked in today with the rain I got last night. The sun has come out and the rain has stop. But now the cold wind and temp drop!!!!!!!!! You have at least another 1/2 I see of heavy rain. Take heart- we are not getting SNOW. This thing is growing into a monster storm for the East coast!!!

I hate when my sleep is disrupted. It takes me a few days to function!!!
You watching a Christmas movie????? Lordy Lordy what has the world come too!!!!! ROFL ROFL - You don't strike me as the Hallmark type!!!! HAHAHAHA
I have seen them all- in my fantasy- dream world I like to go to now and again. Although you did recommend that show about the nurse and such- saw that too! Sighhhhhhhhh ya never know right!

You got your tree up and stocking hung?

I have been doing steak last two days. I am having fish tonight- Your favorite! NOT- HEHEHEH.
------------------------------------------------------------------
All-
So Ex- hubby: Covid up date. He and wife are on second round of antibiotics and now it is more of a pneumonia. They are both exhausted beyond and are still coughing. Good news no more fever and they are eating. My DS has been shlepping in groceries for them and checking on them. I think they are on road to recovery. Although I heard it really was a rough few days. I wish them well. No baggage there.

Other news- Yea, so relived I turned down that 24/on call/ seeing sick patients in their homes. NOT a good fit.
So I will take 1 hour and seriously look. ONE HOUR- hahahahah

So it that vein- Wall Street is shaping up to be a stellar week. Today will be a Green Day and I bought a ton of Tesla last week when it tanked and it is about to hit the S&P. I am already so up on it - crazy. I am expecting by Fri it might and will hit an all time high. At which point I will sell.
It's really working nicely for me. I am not touching my "nut" and this week could pay for my next 3 months. AWESOME,,,,,,,,
I don't see it as gambling- but some do. I only invest in known strong companies with a strong track record. I don't do "penny" stocks either- talk about a gamble.

WOE- have I been struggling the last few days and the scales show it. I am keeping the carbs low- but I am not reeling in my late night eating and it is making a difference. I was eating a bowl of LC chili and midnight and used pork rinds and a dunk in chili and eat. Made for a rough sleep!

I also am NOT moving as much as I want. I have got to turn this gravy train around. Yes- it is LC- but to much, too long. I tossed OMAD out for the last 4 days.

Today is new day!!!!

Rescheduled to get together with DD and kids for hike on thurs. weather should be cleared up here.
Speaking of- NIC/Lori- you really got it coming. I mentioned it up top- but wow to see it on radar!!!
I am sure you are both on it!!!!!

Ok ladies. Need to be productive! Oh last note- remember those gals I got together with once a moth for happy hour/ before cover? We are doing a Happy hour next week and a pj party- via ZOOM!
FUN!

Off to check out Halifax.
Not much else going here- cold and a good TV day. I have everything I need, stocked up.
Clothes (lounge/ Pj's/ towels) spinning in washer. So just an indoor chill day again. Cool with it.
When it gets cold and windy- I don't mind staying warm and inside.

Later- stay safe!!!

Good Morning!

Slept in till 5:15....a luxury! Certainly better than 4 o'clock. Nothing doing for me today. I did all my laundry yesterday and got my car back from being inspected etc.....exciting day, right? Planning to just stay in today and then early tomorrow morning I'll hit the grocery about 6:30 before the masses descend. The snow won't start till around 4 tomorrow afternoon and then it's supposed to snow until around Noon on Thursday. Good grief....last report I saw was 14+ inches. When it's over, I'll run out with my yardstick and measure so I can give you an accurate report.

I did a kind of experiment on myself last night for dinner. I have not eaten pasta in forever, but was making spaghetti for DH. Ahem....I ate a pile of spaghetti & 2 meatballs....no sauce, I put butter & parm cheese on it. After I ate it, I was a bit disgusted with myself and thought I'd better try to mitigate the insulin spike, so I drank a glass of water with apple cider vinegar in it. I have heard that doing that can suppress the insulin/BG spike? Anyway, an hour later I decided to test my blood sugar to see what I had done to myself and was surprised to see this number.....84. I could not believe that the number wasn't well over 100. I was kind of expecting 120+ Whew! Today will be totally LC with a nice tenderloin steak(filet) for dinner.

I'll be back later to see what you all are up to. Have good days!

Good Morning!

Gads Lori!!!!! - 14 inches of that WHITE STUFF- no thank you. Give me shorts and flip flops any day
You are smart to stock up before the storm!!! I'm sure you will stock up Betty. Does she chat on phone if you can't physically get to her?

I am going a bit stir crazy myself. There is nowhere really to go, to cold for hanging outside. Waiting for a small warm up- to all of 50's.
Interesting about your non-blood sugar spike with pasta! Means your pancreas is doing it's job! Mine would be through the roof!!!
Stay warm and safe!
Is your hubby working from home these days? Wasn't his job and outside gig?

Trig- Cold and sunny here!!!! So I am curious how much weigh have you lost this year!!!??????- You have been amazing to watch. The amount of beef you have toss down and the weight just dropping off you!
Inspirational

What is happening with you today? Not much here. I am like you if it's cold- my butt stays in. I just DESPISE COLD. My fingers turn blue than white.
Had fish last night and had to smile. Tonight is beef. That is pretty much my go to- beef or fish. I am not doing pork or chicken. I just........ yuck

Blue- see above response- I never got a chance to turn on Netflix today- but I will. I was pretty much glued to the news as it was a BIG news day.
I need a unplug day and today will be that for me.
Are you still working on projects for BC?

NIC-- how does it feel to be sprung from the coop!!!! HAHAHAH.
Are you now all set for Christmas? It is going to be a pretty low key event for most people. But I love how you are still making it special for your family!!!!!!! Your are joyous contagious!!!!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------
ALL- COLD and sunny here. I will take it over cold and SNOWING!!!
It will be interesting to see how much you eastern gals get!!

No much happening today. I have computer stuff to do-
I need to get my GA License renewed, and need to get my tags renewed. So I will be glued to my computer most the the day "working".
I am going to unplug like I said about 2- make a luscious meal and relax to the show Blue recommend, Halifax.

I truly need to really get my WOE back on track. Again not the carbs- but late night eating. I am up 2 pounds. I was up until 2am chatting and messing around on computer and was EATING hotdogs. Seriously??????

Wall Street has been amazing this morning. I know not a "real" job as my mother is so keen on running her mouth to my entire family. (STEAM outta head here)
But It truly is such a blessing to me right now- I pretty much have the next 4 months paid for without touching my "egg". That is if I do nothing- but we all know I will still be in it.
Applied for one job yesterday half heartedly. MEH....... I do need health insurance!!!

Would love to say I will get out and walk today- it's on the TO DO list...............

I have some breakfast sausage and a pound of beef I need to think of something to do with. I was thinking about half of the sauce added to beef for meatballs. And then the other half for an egg bake.

Well I wanna knock out the "work" so I can "play".
Have a safe one!!!

Good Morning!

Wow! Where was everyone yesterday? Hope all is well.

Jaz.....just you and me yesterday....hope we hear from everyone today before the blizzard hits. Last report I saw said we're getting 20-22 inches!

Love how you're making $$ playing the stock market and being so smart about it too! Wish I even knew how to begin, but I don't think I have the will to do the research like you do, plus wouldn't know where to look.

-----------

I'm going to the grocery in about 1/2 hour(6AM) and DH is going to Walmart about the same time to pick up some stuff for Betty. Although, he's still in bed, so I'll probably be gone and back before he even gets started.

I'll be back later to check on you all. Be well!

Lori that is funny, you shop and back before he moves....it is that way in my house too. Hubby slow, me very early morning fast HA

OMG on that snow amt. Feel for you....with snow comes that icky driving, shoveling, wet boots and more...ugh.

Jaz you are the wall street wiz. I got interested a bit but then lost interest again. As much fun as it is to play the game, it is also work like ya said and omg I am in a zone right now where I don't even wanna tax my brain that hard HAHA glad you are doing so well.

the rain is insanity. poured last night and 'a tad icy' in spots but not bad. So over it, come on summer!

Nicco, you didn't post and I thought I posted yesterday but didn't, omg.....kinda brain dead in this rain and cold.
Got 0 motivation to do anything.

Hey Blue!!

Hi all
nothing new
cold, too darn cold and the amt of rain is crazy.
little icy this morn but not bad at all

staying on plan tight. All good in that situation. I won't allow going off plan anymore, well, I am sure some damn carb craving will try to take me down later HAHA but I will be a zc pillar of strength I hope LOL Never predict the future too much, day by day and meal by meal is a good way for me to live my life. Too cocky never worked out for me

boring day
not sure on what is going down, might be nothing, just a little cleaning etc.

signing out, be good everyone

Hey Trig! Yeah.....I missed having a post from you yesterday. My worry wart brain was afraid something was wrong. Whew! Glad all is well. Sorry about the rain/ice. I'd rather have snow than ice....nasty!

Yep....I was home from the store before DH got going. He's out now, gathering up stuff. I've also been to the laundromat twice with Betty's stuff. I have to do her things at the laundromat because she is severely incontinent and her items are just too "bad" to put in my washer/dryer. Did it once and thought I'd ruined my machines...ugh. I found some detergent that works really well for the odor....thank goodness because it is bad. She always wears Depends, but they still leak. Luckily, the laundromat is only a half mile from the house and not busy at all. It is right in the middle of a college campus and the kids are long gone.

One more trip to get stuff out of the dryer and then I'm done running around. I started my washer with towels and will do our sheets too. With all the snow coming, I want to get all the laundry done in case we lose power tomorrow...we don't usually, but when you get 20+ inches of snow....who knows?

Later!

Lori, it sounds like you all are going to be absolutely walloped. That rarely happens here although it does from time to time. My kids have experienced 2-3 good solid blizzards with snow up past the mailbox but that hasn't happened in quite a long time now!

It's nice for you to know that if you have pasta now and again as a rare treat that you likely aren't doing much damage. That is good news!

Blue, I've got Last Tango to Halifax on my watchlist! I'm watching some other things at the moment but I'll get to it soon-ish! Sounds like you have been busy with work but in a good way and with the realization that it comes and goes. Happy for you! Glad you are also enjoying evenings with your sweet hubby and watching your show. I can hear how happy that makes you!

Jaz, your son is sweet to be taking good care of his Dad and SM. He must live awfully close to them to be able to do that on the regular. Sounds like you are still killing it with your Wall Street trading. Good on you! I know that can pay off well for those who take the time and make the effort.

Trig, sounds like you are holding on tightly to your plan and doing well, as you do. Good on you! When does your DD have finals?

••••••••••••

I think it is so funny that you all think I am way into the Christmas spirit over here! I mean, we are Christmasing, but I feel relatively half-hearted about it at the moment. Life just seems so strange and things are just enough 'off' that I feel off kilter a good portion of the time lately. Seems like it has been one thing after another the past couple of months. I had a crash after caring for DS22 and getting us through the quarantine.. I was absolutely in one-track focus mode keeping things sanitized and running a tight ship and then I just sort of fell apart afterward, you know?

I am just generally feeling kind of exhausted. Not sick, not depressed.. just.. mentally worn. DS22's online college graduation is on Sunday and I am trying to suck it up to do something fun for him. He deserves it, you know? It isn't his fault that things have been the way they are, and he had an absolutely SHITTY last semester of college. Right now we've planned to order takeout of his choice, and watch some of it on the TV and play games as he has requested. Then, a few days after that is Xmas of course. I just feel like I've got to get my head in the game a little bit more because I honestly feel like I hardly even know what day it is. The usual signs, kids being on school break, or kids coming home, or whatever, are just not there any more.

Plus winding down with my client didn't happen like it was supposed to and now I am client-less and will be that way for several months. Again, just a slightly unmoored feeling, you know? With kids not going to school, no work on the calendar etc it just feels sort of like drifting along in the sea. Usually I don't mind that but it is starting to feel a bit more unsettling. Ugh! I guess I feel like I don't have anything to look forward to and moving into the winter DS22 will be up and working every morning in the adjoining room from 9-5, which will bring another change to adjust to.

So yeah, I've been in my own head some the past couple of days. It hasn't been all bad, I'm not just morose or anything like that, just sort of.. Meh. But, getting Xmas cards out tomorrow and will buy the tenderloin and accoutrements for Xmas morning and dinner either Thursday or Friday. I want to get what is needed before the crowds of next week.

BTW we aren't expecting much snow at all today. I'll be surprised if we get three inches out of it. I will enjoy watching snow fall though, however much. So pretty!

Ok, so enough of this. Gonna try to shake this mood and move on.

Hey ladies- Happy WED!!!!!! ( I had to ask Siri ) - HAHAHAH
Talk about not knowing what day it is......... I only know due to if its a Trading day or not!!! HAHAHAHA

Speaking of I got up at 9:28- 2 minutes to the bell and said screw it- it will still be there AFTER I have had my coffee.
Today is a hold day for me anyway. Tesla tanked and I bought a bunch up. It is supposed to hit the S&P on Monday- - So I am holding.

NIC- - I so hear ya on giving the impression of Happy Elf Christmas!!!!- But compared to some you are. My idea of Christmas was a dollar store, table tree, and a table clothe. I did buy one strand of white lights I put up on the porch window. MEH- It will all hit a garbage bag when I leave.

I think it is really sweet of you to attempt to make things cheerful for DS22. It has to be hard!
I get that this year has not been at all what everyone expect. How does one predict a Pandemic in their life time! WE were all side swiped. Life HAS changed as we know it.
I think at this point it is just finding new ways to find our silver lining ya know.

You just take some time and take care of YOU!!!- You take some much needed breaks!!!!!
You are so blessed, we all are so blessed. I think that for me when I look at that, it changes my perspective! This you already know.
I get it though. I know you are sensitive to others around you and it rubs off. Sometimes just a hot bubble bath and a new good book does the trick.

So you are not getting the best of Snow Lori is getting?!?!?!?

Lori- GOD BLESS YOU!!! I say that sincerely. For you to do "that" type of laundry is not easy or fun. I know it must be hard for Betty to LET you do it. Getting older is not for sissies! We will all get there. I just hope there are people with your compassion still around. Goodness you are a Christmas angle year round!!!

HAHA- in and out before hubby even gets up! Yup I get that. I am not moving fast these days!
Are you READY for 22 inches of snow? HOLY MOLY- will need Pic!I bet your farm house will look like a post card!!!!!

Trig- So gross and rain moved in today. Another pj and indoor day!
My Aunt was "appalled" when we chatted the other day at 4 in afternoon and I mentioned I was still in "lounge/Pajama wear". Different generation ya know!!!!!- If your not going out- who cares!

Plus how you seen some of the down right cute stuff they have out now. Truly I do not think I can EVER go back to skirts, blouses, and heels.
The leggings and tunics they have out now are cute and fun. Everyone wears them.

Yea- no much doing here either.
Rain and more rain ALL day!

Blue- So I did try Halifax.......... I am on episode 3 now! Very sweet story. Yes it is very modern story- but I like the story line.
I then flipped it to AVA- a warrior movie for some action. Not your cup of tea I know! But every now and again!!!! HAHAHAH

I will tell you I am loving unplugging to a good story! I love my Netflix. Worth every dime, and IT's portable. I put in my code and good to go. I take a Roku stick with me in case there is no Smart TV. But so far so good.

Have you gotten snow? -
Updates on your BC projects and all you are doing!!!!!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------
As stated, RAINING and COLD and WET, and GRAY here!!!!
I moved my day tomorrow with DD and Littles to Friday as she wanted to do a hike tomorrow. It needs to dry out a bit.

So her plans changed for Christmas. She was very clear that nobody can come if they have been sick- do to Our littlest one. So SIL- sister and hubby cancelled as they now both have sore throats and the other person just backed out.
So I will most likely go in the afternoon.
She said - "mom"- I am not getting out of my Pajama's or cooking. I said: AWESOME - perfect day. No stress! Just hang.

I will give them space and go in afternoon. I will FaceTime to DS in the morning and share an hour with him and that will be my day.

I need to plan a day next week or so to go and clear out the closet at my mom's house with my stuff and set up a PO Box for my mail. I am DREADING even going to do that. But after that is over it will be over. She told me I was dead to her. She texted that yesterday. She got drunk and went on a text rampage. I have not spoken to her in a month.
Wow- how does one say that? I just need this over and my stuff out, and let her live out her life without me in it. So sad..... she is the only one missing out on the grandkids, and her great grandkids.
Enough - I will find peace and I wish her well.

Anyway- I am up another freking pound. over hotdog eating at midnight. I am serious..... - Stress eating?
Oh...... and dill pickles........ ALL that SALT- PUFFY I feel today. I can't move my rings. I feel like the doughboy!

Making meatballs in Marinara for tonight. I will braise them in pot and finish them on low in sauce for an hour. Serve in bowel. No dairy, no noodle needed.

Oh goodness- it is noon already and I am just finishing up morning coffee coffee............. These days fly when one gets up at 930!!!!! HAHAHAHAAH

I am in a good place, in all ways!!!!!!- I am!!!! I have counted my blessing and they are many!!!!!!

Nicco, yea I get ya. Not bad but not calm and settled. All our lives are so up in the air and for me, that control type freaky personality, omg it nails me to the wall. Heck I want 'college life' almost already locked in and perfect for my kid and she got a few years yet, and NOW I am unsettled that something that is to happen in 2.5 yrs might be f'd up for her and yea, it drags me down mentally This is when we gotta learn to live by the seat of our pants kinda thing, hard for 'type me' ya know but we can do it So cool tho you will pull off a nice night for your son!! But yea I am MEH too on alot of it all just like you cause my life is off like yours but in the bitter end, like Jaz said, boy do we gotta count the blessings and put them forward! But I know you, you will bounce back But ya know looking into 2021 ya wanna say I AM GONNA do but in the end we can only do what this virus crap allows us to do with closings and more and yea, it royally sucks rocks HAHA

Lori, yea my mom is constantly on girl pads etc. She does those instead of the underwear coverage types. But getting older is not for wimps HAHA
Cool with the college kids gone you can get in and out of the laundry service fast!!

Watched WU and they said Harrisburg was getting like 18 inches....hope you didn't get too bad. Watching Gail dump snow up north was wild, I used to be in all that LOL and I know ice is bad vs. snow but I have to say, what little icy time we get it leaves fast vs. having snow on the ground til darn near June sometimes up north LOL Hope you don't lose power or anything, but like any northerner, you are prepared for it all. I know we were living up there, snow is dealt with easily if ya live there. I don't miss the snow issues down here at all now and more retirement, I am heading to GA or FL or AZ cause this old gal is going for hot weather

Jaz, yea, finish up with your mom. Don't give her any responsibility for your stuff and 'get'er done' and you will happy you broke that contact. Drinking and unstability, yea I can see her saying that to you but you are doing the best thing, break contact and if you reconnect, you do it on YOUR terms only ya know, that way you can protect you when ya need to. It sucks saying it is what it is but sometimes it truly boils down to something so simple, you bob and weave and come to peace around it all best ya can!! Hugs

Clothes mean nothing anymore to anyone except the older folks LOL

My kid and the way she is and how this newer generation looks at clothes is just wear what ya want any time, any how and now others must accept that or tough noogies LOL Which I like that attitude cause hell why can't one wear a nice PJ set to work? what makes a shirt and pants any different than PJ shirt and pants? Society makes the dumbest idiot rules, this younger gen are breaking them all on crap like that. Luckily I wear what I want, when I want and no one is gonna tell me different HAHA

I sleep in shirt and sweats. Never pjs anymore like the old days cause being a farmer I had to be out of bed and down to the barn or whatever in a flash alot of times and being dressed for that was needed. During kidding time at the barn I was up and down countless times and in the end, any comfy shirt and sweats or shorts is my sleeping attire

Hubby driving car to SC....he is going to Hilton Head with another guy for work.

I got up at almost 6 which is late for me, good sleep and kid comes out and says, shhhh, I am going to sleep now and I just sigh and shake my darn head LOL

won't be seeing her for a very long time today.

On exams, she only had 1. In that low class grade but she met all criteria for high grades, in attendance range, classwork submitted so those exams are not required......she is done with school. After Xmas break she is online and with her next set of 'easier' classes so that is good. Her downfall will be Sociology which she subbed out for her easy peasy Culinary class since I would have to drive her to school for 3rd period just for that class and she was like no way......but I told her Sociology wasn't gonna be no picnic class but I am praying it is NOT like this AP Gov class she hated...ugh....we shall see what goes down on it all.

ZC and holding tight. No weight loss and no 'looking leaner'. Like I stalled out but that is fine. I don't care. I just hold plan tight and wait.....eventually the body will give it up again

be good all, bit icy out there but not bad. might do mom today or tomorrow, gotta call her in a bit.
