I do 5,000 in the morning, 10,000 after lunch, and finish the day doing another 5,000 before bed. Following this routine I have built up 8 pack abs. Okay, that is a slight exaggeration of the truth.

I do not find that situps really put much focus on the abs. They're really more of a hip flexor exercise. Actually some exercises that are not considered ab exercises really work them pretty hard. I do cable pullovers on my Bowflex, and find it brings a lot of ab involvement. If you build up your abs too much, they actually stick out a little bit. If your body fat is low you do not look fat, but you stomach is not completely flat if they are really built up.
