kewl...I live about 20 minutes or so from Stanton...lol..I get my groceries at the Kroger there (more variety of goods than we have here in my small town). yes..go wildcats go is the saying. My husband is a big cats fan..I'm not into sports as much as he, but I keep up just because it is hard not to when you are married to someone who loves it. lol...

How are you guys doin' ...I'm okay..it seems I've finally broken the 170 plateau for good. I was really flutating there for awhile but I'm definately over the hump now and even on heavy days I'm still under 170...so I'm pretty happy....next goal 165. yeah...clothes are fitting well again...

Here is a native son who you can be proud of ...one of the best Blue guitarists and singers out there...he now lives in Melbourne, Florida but his roots are pure Kentucky...the phrases he comes out with just crack us up...one of the stories he tells is of a friend and he watching a barfly going past the point of no return in the alcohol department...their comments to each other was "Well, I guess he'll be bug hunting soon"...Steve talks about hollars where he is from and of couse this is all new lingo to me...one thing he did advise me that in Kentucky that you could call a man down lower than a snake but if you added "Bless his Heart" at the end then you were forgiven for any backbiting great guy and he and his wife are two of our closest friends...he is also from Stanton...

I'm in Kentucky too, Northern Kentucky. The only claim to fame we have around here is we are close to Cincinnati, Ohio and the Reds and the Bengals....ok, I take that back, we have no claim to fame.

Hey Patti, so glad to hear from someone from Kentucky. I noticed you have not began a journal as of yet. However, I have noticed you have lost 40 pounds since you began in Feb. Way to go girl.
Thank you so much for dropping a line, I look forward to hearing from you again. Joan

I started low carbing on March 18 of this year so it has almost been 4 months. I've only lost 15 lbs which is like really slow as compared to most. evidently I have the metabolism of a sloth. but i am keeping at it though. I like this way of life and the food choices for the most part.

Hey Lynda, at least you have lost 15 pounds. From what I have been reading here on the forum, I am getting the message that since we have done so much YO YO'ING through the years our bodies just need to adjust. Stay on the program and you will see results. So glad to get to know another Kentuckian.. Joan

Yeah..I'm actually really happy with my results. I mean maybe I've not lost as quickly as others but I also know there have been some VERY positive changes in my body. Everyone says that I look better and I can fit into clothes now that I couldn't during Christmas. I know that I'll never be tiny, but I really feel better and my family think I'm a good size now. Personally I put my goal at 140 because that is what my BMI should be. I would be tickled at 150 - 155. Below 155 it is really hard for me to lose. I weighed 140 all through high school. Even though I am short, I am stocky and very muscular. I think that makes a difference on the weight.
