Default Dr. Atkins may have unknowingly addressed rT3?

Dr. Robert Atkins: The True Story of the Man Behind the War on Carbohydrates by Lisa Rogak.

p. 102
"Nineteen seventy-seven saw the publication of Dr. Atkins Super Energy Diet, which he viewed as a vehicle for introducing his already huge fan base to the idea of a diet that was not just focused on weight loss only but on increasing patients energy levels and improving their overall health."

p. 103-104
Atkins also suggested that dieters who had hit a weight-loss plateau undertake what he called the "Reversal Diet." "Sometimes if you switch to an all carbohydrate diet for one week, then switch back to your [induction] level diet, the weight loss starts up all over again, he wrote."

What do you think?

Well, I know on the HCG diet, if they hit a plateau, they do an "apple" day, where they eat ONLY apples (up to 6) throughout the day, drinking only water in limited amounts when thirsty that day. It's only for the one day. From what I can see, it seems to work at breaking the plateau. I was actually considering doing it because I've kind of hit a wall with only about 2-3 pounds loss during induction.

What is the HCG diet?

I lose ok on induction but after 7 days my temperature starts going down, below 96 degrees, when I take armour my temp goes below the morning temp and I feel like a zombie. Then I don't lose any weight after that. I think I've finally accepted that I have a rT3 problem and should just stop taking T4.
