Sandra, from everything I've read, low-carbing is what you need. And the best plan is the one that you can live with the best.

I'm on The Schwarzbein Principle and it's working very well for me. I have lost 32 pounds in about 8 months. More importantly, my PCOS appears to be getting better and I have never been healthier.

There is a program called The Insulin-Resistance Diet and you will find it at Amazon.com. All you need to do is a search on "Insulin Resistance Diet."

You can also compare programs by clicking on the link at the top of the right-hand sidebar titled "Which low-carb plan is right for me?"

Hope this helps.

Sandra

I agree with deb, you need to find out what works best for you.

Heres a few diet books geared for pcos

This one is brand new written by a lady who was able to control her pcos through diet
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...675241?v=glance

This is a link to the IR Diet
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...675241?v=glance

I am on the IR and am doing wonderfully, no longer tired, losing weight and no more Migraines Some ladies have to be on a more restricted diet, some dont I would mainly see how you feel on it and if you feel better.

Good Luck

Regarding the PCOS Diet Book; the author's plan is really not very low carb and she is against Atkins really. However, it is an excellent book for advice on herbal and nutritional remedies. It is so worth buying for that.

I am doing the Insulin Resistance Diet and really like it.
