My goodness, 65 lbs weightloss in 8 months' time! That's absolutely astonishing.

And now you're being a role model again, having finished your 1st 5 k run in less than half an hour.

Well done, John!

How do you guys train? I would love to be a runner but since beginning LC in August of 2008, I barely have the energy for it. Before that I did fairly well. No competitions but I ran daily about 3 miles or more. I can handle walking but the running seems too much. Any suggestions?

Huntington! Which did you run? I can't seem to work up the nerve to enter. I have a fear of not finishing or coming in last. Not the most confident person in the world!

What do you eat before your runs normally? I can see a banana on race day. Apparently it isn't killing you! Congratulations on your time. That is fantastic!
