I posted last night hoping to get someone to answer me. I cannot use the chat room. Have I done something wrong and been disallowed entrance? When I click on the chat room I get a grey screen that says load:class client not found. If the problem is with my computer I will fix it but I don't know what is going on. Apparently I am not the only person with this problem. Do I need to be a contibuting member to get this addressed. Am I no longer welcome here. Please help me address this issue.

"You probably need to make sure you have the most recent version of Java. Other than that... get a better browser? I use SeaMonkey."

I used to be able to get into the chat room. So I don't think it has to do with my browser.

ok joesfolks I have figure it out. I googled update java and got this click her for free download , I downloaded it and went back to chat and got in . Worked like a charm, guess my java was bad. Thanks Judy and Kristine for pointing me in the right direction.

Well, I installed the lastest version of java and verified the installation but still can't get into the chat room..aaarrrrggggg.

I'm out of ideas. The chat room isn't part of the vBulletin software, so I can see it being unstable or 'fussy', but... Dunno.

(ETA) Here's the first hit I got when I googled your error message: http://support.addoninteractive.com...on=kb&article=1 That should help...

I am not sure of this but I think that maybe Java is meant to work with Internet Explorer and not other browers.

At least you got in with IE!!
