I have been low carbing for two months now and have not had a lot of luck. I am not losing inches anywhere and weight loss is under 4 pounds. I drink plenty of water. No caffiene, and really watch my carb intake. 20-27 or so. I walk most days and work out with hand weights! Could it be that some people just don't respond to a low carb diet? I need help. Ginny

Hi Ginny,

It could be possible, but generally if you don't have a lot of weight to lose (even though it might seem so to you!) the poundage loss is slow.

Why don't you post what you eat? You may be eating hidden carbs that you're not aware of. Eating artificial sweeteners, even though low in carbs can also be a problem.

There are a couple of slow losers on this forum who are very content with their slow loss because they are looking at it from a health perspective with weight loss being a bonus. They also feel great through low-carbing which keeps them on track.

Karen

Default no weight loss either

Hi,

I was low-carbing for almost 2 months and lost not even an ounce of weight even though i was following the diet by the book and having 20 gms of carbs each day. Through research I've discovered that there is a certain percentage of people who just do not respond on this diet. In my case, my cholesterol increased so much that I immediately had to come off the diet and am now seeing a specialist. I am not very overweight, and actually need to lose about 15 pounds. If you hear anything new about your situation...could you keep me posted too? maybe together we can put some pieces of the puzzle together for ourselves!
thanks
Hobotnica
