Exclamation Lindt 85% Chocolate in Brisbane!

I was on a self indulgent wander around the other day when I found myself in the Chocolatier shop in the Myer centre(looking for sf choc of course!)I wistfully fondled all the sf Gummi lollies, bars and chocolates, but I know I can't eat them.... Sugar alcohols do TERRIBLE things to mewhen I saw...mmmm Lindt dark chocolate, I remembered how much I loved to have just one square of the 70% cocoa chocolate, it is so rich, and only 3.25 g of carbs a square( fairly high in carbs% wise, but it really is a challenge to eat a lot)then I saw the shop carried 85%cocoa chocolate, with approx 1/2 the carbs of the 70% stuff. I didn't buy a bar because it was $5.75 for 100g as was the 70%, which you can normally get at a supermarket for $3.... SOOOO I am hoping that someone in Aus/NZ has info as to where to get this heaven sent delight for cheaper than $5.75 or if not at least I can alert lovers of real food to the existence of it!

I saw it at K-mart today. It was $3.15 for the 100g block - same price as the 70% stuff.

Good luck!

You're welcome. However, I just tried some. BOY is it rich!

I guess it would be great to use just a square of it to flavour some cooking.

I just made some "fudge" with it.

I melted it and added 2Tbsp of cream, 2Tbsp of butter, and 2 Tbsp of Splenda. I put in the microwave for a minute and then added a dash of vanilla and mixed it up.

I poured it on a plate and stuck it in the fridge for a while - not bad at all.

What do you do with your super rich chocolate?

That sounds good!!! I got some today(well... 2 blocks..) at big W for $3 ...Iam planning on mixing it with copha and splenda and coconut make my own coconut roughs...I know it is basically sacrilege to do it to such find rich swiss choccy, but I paid my dues by having four squares straight!! I guess it is like mixing scotch with diet coke! ....

Now dont overdose on it people! available at coles here in goulburn NSW.
YUM! great broken up for in muffins too! or melted for on STRAWBERRYS to dip into (add a little cream) and for hot chocolates,,,,,, my list is endless!

I think that the CAdbury Lite stuff might have sugar alcohols in it... if so that would be why I haven't eaten it, sugar alcohols are extremely horrid for me, which is a shame 'cos so much SF stuff has them... but my experience with Darrel Lea SF choc and Choc coated Almonds has made me swear off them for life. But lucky you if you can eat them!( or maybe I am misremembering, maybe cadbury lite doesn't have any SA in it)

Yep, it does. for me too. From memory it has isomalt. Great if you don't react to it, but not so great for those of us who do.
