Smile Welcome!

Unlike other places...there's always room for one more in the Triple Digits Club...

...and I am especially pleased to welcome another person from the great State of Illinois!

For me, participation in the forum is an essential component in my LC WOE. I find the kind of information, support and community here that I need to reach my weight loss and better health goals. I hope you will too.

This will NOT be like the other times when you tried and "failed".

Know that. Believe that. Live that.

Donald

Welcome, "Meanie"

Are you really THAT mean? Bet not!

I am a nurse too. That doesn't help that much, with this stuff, does it? Knowing how ain't the same as doing how!

My story is similar- I have been on Atkins, off an on, since the 70's! This is the first time that I really "got it", and I think that support is what has made all the difference. Not just the "hand-holding type, but good solid informational support about diet and the (gulp) e-word...exercise!

You may want to think about starting your own journal- that really helped me, to post my food and fears, and to have others come visitme. A lot of the action in this forum goes on in the journals.

Another good resource is fitday.com, where you can figure out and record your food, with carbs, cals, exercise etc.- very helpful.

Lots of good folks here!
Hugs,
Kat

Default welcome sister!

well, nurses are called sisters here in Ireland...
Welcome, indeed, and we can shake hands for this is my third try also! and the cyber support makes a world of difference.

I'd like to ask what the use if the journal is, how do you get people to come and look and tell you what they think of it?

I didn't lose anything this week, so I will do less carbs this week, see if I can stay under 10, and then see what the result is!

Willeke
