Default Mmmmmm - Low carbing and codine!

Dang! Talk about bad timing.

I've been battling a bad cough for the past couple of weeks. On Monday, my husband made me go to the doctors for it. Monday also happens to be when I started back to low carbing.

Most of Tuesday I had these symptoms:
* Severe headache (which I expected because of starting the low carb thing)
* Severe nausea until lunchtime
* Severe exhaustion (kinda thought it was because of the low carb thing in the beginning)

This morning, I woke up to the exact same thing (I was fine by night time).

Low and behold, I can only blame LC for the headache.
The rest was due to my taking 1 teaspoon of the prescription cough medicine before going to bed!
I didn't realize such small amounts of codine can have such a severe effect on you.

Lesson learned.

ANd, by the way, the headache is gone, and I'm feeling energetic.
(no more cough medicine for me!) Thank you LC!

p.s...doc said the small amounts of codine should not make me drowsy.
Now, I finally remember, that the effects of alcohol (and, so too I guess, medication) are multiplied when I'm low carbing. 1 teaspoon, and I could have been flying.
