Default Need Help Interpreting My Thyroid Antibody Lab Results

I took recent thyroid antibody tests and need some help interpreting the data.

TPO Ab = 15; Normal Range 0-34
TG Ab < 20; Normal Range 0-40

Did I in fact test positive for TPO Ab? Does 15 mean that I'm within the normal range, even though I tested positive? Does this mean that I do have the antibody, even though the level may be normal?

Does my TG antibody mean that I in fact did not test positive?

The antibody tests were conducted by Labcorp using Siemens' (DPC) ICMA Methodology.

As a background, I do have hypothyroid symptoms (cold fingers, dry skin, constipation), though my blood results do not reflect it: TSH ~1; Free T3 ~2.9, and Free T4 ~ 1.2. I do have T2 diabetes and also an autoimmune condition (Sjogren's), which are frequently linked to Hashimoto's.

I'm not seeking opinion on whether I'm hypothyroid or not. If I do, I get way too many opinions and they tend to lead me astray anyway. I just wanna know what the antibody results mean. Is it positive but normal, especially for TPO? Shouldn't the really normal result be "negative" however, for those who're not hypothyroid via autoimmunity? Does 15 indicate that I may have latent autoimmnity that may become full blown when it exceeds 34? Has anyone gotten their TPO test results and the result was specifically "0" or "<0"? Thanks a lot.

You could be hypothyroid by other causes, like lack of iodine. Those look like negative antibody results to me, but I'm not an expert on TPO. Hopefully Neanderpam will weigh in.

I would also say negative. My TPO is over 300 and my brother's is approaching 1000. I was D/X with Hashimoto's when my TPO was 84 in 2009. I know this number can fluctuate but I think you are far enough under 34 to believe you are negative.

Your free T3 and T4 look quite low, what are the reference ranges?
